Accounts Banned for Exploiting the Mystic Cube Timer Reset

Don’t worry I’m with you there on the banning people who abuse things but there’s been so many that everyone knows their capability and systems in place to actually gather vital information to handle a situation properly doesn’t exist. I am honestly more angry with the staff and developers than the players at this point for being dishonest. You’d expect someone to lie about cheating but not the company to sit there and say something which isn’t true and make more effort to cover it up compared to fixing everything.

That’s why soooooo many people are angry and disgruntled or would take the risks exploiting. If their words actually had meaning to them or they could back up such claims this thread wouldn’t exist.

Well, I think this is a part of it.

If you know you didn’t do anything wrong, why would you have been a douche when appealing your ban? Respect is a 2-way street and mistakes happen. It’s about the aftermath. If you appeal your ban respectfully, understanding there is a language barrier a bit, they ought to do right by you as a consumer.

Information evolves. It’s important to stand behind the company you work for, so I understand where John’s coming from here. If another statement is made though, it’s important for him to acknowledge that mistakes were made. Continuing to be arrogant at this point, now that this new information has come to light, would be silly.

Uhm why am I not banned? I opened mytic cube. Simple. Because I didn’t accidentally open the cube multiple times. I have friends who opened the cube while channel crashed but they are not banned. Why? because they didnt accidentally open the cube multiple times.

Exploiters are taking advantage of this situation to clear their names. Well I still dont like imc banning only those who abused it on practo cube.

I wish they just ban all of the stupid fucktards who have used the ■■■■ command but when you think about it then 80% of the playerbase will disappear so they went and banned those who used abused it on practo cube.

Anyways staff resolved the topic by saying dont embarrass yourself. kakaka

Well if you were banned even if you know yourself you didn’t do nothing, wouldn’t you be pissed? And then they will come out and say they have been cautious and have not been banning randomly? That’s just them being a liar and incompetent. Heck, let’s say you managed to maintain your composure, you go to their site and file a ticket. Then takes 2-3 weeks to fookin respond. And just like every ticket raised, only earns a copy pasta bot response. It’s ridiculous.

Don’t get me wrong. I love this game, invested almost 1.5k hrs in it. But just like everybody else, I got fed up waiting for a bloody miracle to happen and left. I wasn’t playing when all the crashing and cube exploit fiasco happened.

What would be funny is if I got banned even if I wasn’t playing. :joy:

Oh hell yeah I’d be pissed.

But my tone in an email is unlikely to change.

My other 2 tickets have taken 2 weeks to be responded to, but ticket systems are dogshit and I know that having worked with them before. Ain’t worth blaming the poor customer-facing guy who’s getting slammed and takin’ it out on him though.

A lesson on customer service: You will always be treated well as a customer if you maintain a minimal level of respect when things go south.

I understand that part too and hopefully after they hiring a CM for here and programmers things will get better. Because if they don’t there’s only so many things the Staff and customer support can cover for when things really hit the fan. Goodness forbid like I’ve said before we don’t see some negative warp silver exploits or instant leveling bug that really will be catastrophic to the game’s integrity surface in a couple days. What will they do then? Just ban people for X amount of days who suspiciously gained X amount of silver or levels in the time frame of it going public with no real basis again?

The Korean side of this company needs to stop being ignorant to this stuff and our problems. My biggest beef is with those people just shrugging off crap like it’s not a problem every time Staff brings up concerns for something like class balancing or game design flaws to them from here.

I’ve been saying this game is tree of masochist since some time ago. Guess what? The remaining population of tos is the masochist among masochist selected from 50k players around the world. Those people probably made new accounts just to continue enjoy getting imc’d.

because those 200+ new players… are new players

they dont know whats awaiting em ingame.

also, they dont have what we had back in 2016 march april may june

so…

Well the game has exp events and the infamous rank reset so obviously the population will go up. Those whose builds got imc’ed just reset and when rank 9 comes out they might get imc’ed and ask for reset. Same as weapons you finally craft your 315 weapon then new r9 weapon arrive because the mats are too cancerous without specific build.

RIP.

They needed a quick scapegoat to deviate the attention of the angry player base that got their playing time wrecked by the crashings channels and instability of the server on the weekend, hypocritaly forgetting that leaving this hole in the code was their own fault to begin with.

Thats why they quickly banned players and make an half assed patch to “fix” the issue with the result of leaving new bugs like the “fortune cookie reset” and the “instance dungeons dont reset for some chars”

PS: Don’t blame Staff_John for what him wrote, the guy just do his work that is communicate with the player base, the people that did the datamine in the database looking for exploiders are probably the same that do the checking at patches and events before they are put in the live servers, so is not wonder thay they make mistakes.

Then all the more that he shouldn’t say that. Going by what you said, it means that he lied to us. That’s very bad communication between them as a company and to their player base.

I really like what John said.
It was a response to an actual problem and it was clear, honest and strongly worded.
Yes that hits those affected deep but that is what it was supposed to do. There were no innocent bans.

some people want a game to f*ck them, until they love it

Spoke a little but spoke ■■■■…

Actual problem? the actual problem was channel crashing, they didn’t ban those, they just chose a criteria and banned those people so it looked like they did something. Honest? Yeah, ask @Csiko about his friend that got erroneously banned, besides the very bad criteria they used to ban people and then say that it was rigorously done.

as @lagunarealm48 said, yes it was a response to an actual problem, but, no action against the channel crashers, which was the real root of all the problems. it’s arrogant, and it sounded like they were the victims.
