Gameplay Bug Report Connection / Game Crash

Bug Description :
So I started to play the game just when it got released, even bought the Founder Access thingie and I started to play. Dropped the game pretty fast because I didn’t have much time to play games. Last time I played it was 27 months ago (my friend provided me with this information since I am in his friendlist) and all of the sudden I cannot get an access to the game and it gives me “Your access to the game is currently restricted due to a maintenance or other reasons. Please contact Support through our homepage for more details”. I thought “Oh, it’s maintenance”, but this one was neverending. So I wrote the ticket to Support and asked what’s wrong.
They said I got permabanned. “Upon further investigation, we verified that your account violated the terms of service and EULA of the game. Due to this, your account has been given the sanction of permanent ban.”
I never ever violated anything in my life. I am trying to be polite with people, I never tried to bot in any game or even worse - selling gold. So I wrote another ticket and asked for more details, but they refused to elaborate: “Unfortunately, due to security reasons we will be unable to share the information you have requested. As we have mentioned, your account has been permanently suspended for violating the EULA and terms of conditions of the game by using exploits.” But that is about my account. I want to know what happened there.
And what am I supposed to do now? I would understand if I really did something wrong, but I didn’t. I never botted/sold gold/exploited bug. I didn’t even get far into the game when I was playing. So I have no idea what to do now because my friend wanted us to play together and I happily agreed on that. but now I just cannot do that because, apparently, I am guilty in something and I don’t even know what is it. I didn’t play this game for more than 2 years and this was a great surprise for me after all this time. I don’t want to create any more tickets, so I came here with hope that this situation can be resolved.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Launch the game
  2. Try to choose a server
  3. Get an error that says “Your access to the game is currently restricted due to a maintenance or other reasons. Please contact Support through our homepage for more details”

By the past record, back in June of 2016, we have restricted your account due to “Exploiter”.
This kind of punishments to come when accounts showing a suspicious playing pattern or acquiring unlawful gains by using add-ons.

If you didn’t play for ages and just want to restart playing with a friend, you can simply delete the game and your Steam account, recreate a new account and redownload a fresh copy. Or the the ban per IP instead of per account?

Probably exploiting an event, just like the candy one last year.

Well, I can swear on whatever you want that I never even tried to exploit anything. I don’t even know what kind of exploits does this game have and I do not wish to know, to be honest. I don’t really know what “suspicious playing pattern” is because everything that I did - leveling, I guess. I think I went to a first dungeon once or twice or something like this, but I don’t remember anything else at all. “acquiring unlawful gains by using add-ons” is out of question as well because I play a lot of videogames and I don’t want to get banned in any of them because I enjoy playing them.
And maybe I could create another account and what not, but I do not want to go through all this hassle because I got unfairly banned. I don’t want to lose my little cosmetic things either. I probably have a lot of things in my mail in game that will help me to start over and it will be a bit easier (I mean stuff that we get from devs) this time.

And I think ban is per account, not IP, as they stated in the ticket message.
But I really want this account of mine to be unbanned because I really do not see the reason for it to be banned at all. I wouldn’t go all this way from tickets to a forum post if I would be guilty in anything. It IS important for me.

Make a new account or don’t play the game. Those are your only two options. By the way your story is super suspicious. If I lost an account that barely had any play time, I’d just make a new one like any sane person would.

June/2016 is a long time ago, maybe this is related to the purchase problem they had in the beggining? People exploiting the Steam payment system fail

Anyways, your old account will not have that many items sent by devs, just start a new one, the new event “invite a friend” is OP and you get to participate on both “Rookie Savior” and “invite a friend” event with newly created accounts.

I do see it troublesome if I have other games on my steam and I have to make another one just to play ToS

But yeah sorry bro, no offense but it does sound a bit suspicious. If you really want to play the game with your friend, make a new one as from the looks of it you will not get your account back.
