Abuse in the event "invite a friend"

I would like to understand your goal with this ‘Invite a Friend’ event. Sadly, in Silute (where i play and can acknowledge) what is truly happening is that most of the players are creating new Steam accounts and new Teams in-game to get the benefits of the event without really invinting a friend.

This event is awful! Just as those previous new-player events where people would create a new account and reach max level with barely 24hrs total playtime. Do you really want this to happen? That people create new accounts and fill the game with bots and macros? Please think this through. I already invited many people over the course of these 2 years and most of them stopped playing because they FELT IT WAS TOO EASY TO LEVEL…i even told the most recente ones i invited to not make use of the new-player event so they could have a better leveling experience and enjoy all the game truly has to offer, but even so they quit.

Earning items that help the player to advance in a healthy way through the game is fine, but do you truly believe that this strategy is working? Don’t you guys notice that one week after the event is over these ‘new players’ (that aren’t really new) simply abandon the game? And the truly new players don’t want to build a character in 2 days.
What separates MMORPG’s from other games is, in fact, the attachment we create with our characters through their leveling and building experience. People today can reach max level in a span of 24hrs and use it for botting, macroing and gold selling.

An interesting think, in case you don’t know, is that there is a Brazilian Tree of Savior group in facebook. This group has over 27 thousand members and the game itself barely has 2 thousand spread across all servers, according to steam charts. Considering you have done these types of events over and over and the actual playerbase doesn’t grow, wouldn’t it be wise to change the strategy?

I do not understand what research they do to create such events. I find it strange that most players complain about how ridiculously easy it is and they keep doing exactly the same. they do not listen to the players

I’m going to state the obvious about these events that most people don’t realize. ToS events are tailored around the ktos server.

It isn’t easy to have multiple accounts on that server due to a KSSN being connected to the account. This is why it sometimes looks like they aren’t listening to itos suggestions on events.

But this is IMC we talking.

if it really means that they are amateurs or are not giving due importance to ITOS

little did you know the kssns can be acquired quite easily, korean companies or hackers sell personal information to chinese and venezula and they use it to bot / sell gold.

it used to be extremely easy to google kssns via looking up people that died or signed up for a insurance :tired:

Be that it may be most Koreans aren’t buying kssn, they would rather play fair then risk having their own kssn banned from future games. Most people buying kssn are from outside Korea.

idk where you get your blind assumptions from, majority of the koreans will risk it than playing fair, and there is no such thing as banning kssns. this isn’t about buying kssns in korea.

i’m korean and i used to use kssns from google to create accounts for the english community. :tired:

I know, right

You trashtalk him for making assumption and then you make another assumption yourself?

On Steam all you need is an email address to create a ToS account.
In Korea, you need a Social Security Number, which are much harder to get and the risk is much higher. So no, I highly doubt that the majority of korean players will go through the trouble and risk their main, multigaming account (and their SSN, by extension) get banned just to get some free items in a dying game.

Sarcasm aside - your ‘fake’ quote has ‘some weebo’ saying “… not the other trash”. OH VAY. /facepalm

Welcome to internet gaming my friend. If you have snow flake feeling, this is not for you. This happens to every game and this was not the first game it happen to and is not the 1st event to be used by current players that way (new player event cough). If you need a safe space I recommend you unplug your internet, call your internet provider and cancel, because your only going to get your heart broken playing online games.
