About VPNs (mudfish,WTFast)/ are VPNs bannable?

i guess there isnt a clear image if vpns are bannable or not. you can read the comment section for more info. one says vpns are not allowed in the terms of service. please do confirm.

So im planning to use VPN to try and fix my connection to the SEA servers because my isp (PLDT/PLDC) is really shitty.

some are recommending the us of Mudfish or WTFast.

this is my 1st time im using VPNs.
how does it work?
for example like in mudfish, its cheap because it gives you per data basis. this is the situation that i want to know.

im using wifi. and atleast 3 people connect to it. my brother sister etc. i used Mudfish and i have for example 25 gigabyte of data.
Question: will i be the only one connected to the vpn? or even the ones connected to the wifi is connedted to the vpn?
another one: will my brother/sister connected to the same wifi also use the 25 gigabyte data of mudfish or im the only one who can use that data?

they use fb and stuff and i dont want to waste my vpn data for that if they do happen to also use my vpn data.

i have searched google and this forum. can’t seem to find the answer and im really confused. i hope somebody can help me.

i dont want to play on 200 ms anymore TT_TT any infos will be greatly appreciated.

It’s iffy. It depends. Some games have auto detection for bots and what not that get “triggered” by VPNs.

Any of you guys have an official answer here?

Hi there!

  1. Normally, there is only 1 person can login into VPN account to use VPN ( there are still some accounts allow many people login at the same time but in your case, there is only 1) so even there are 3 people are using wifi, there is only you can login into VPN.
  2. that 25Gb is being counted if there is someone connects to VPN server (via account) so if your bro and sister don’t login into VPN, they can’t use 25Gb.

WTFast is allowed by Steam so I dont think IMC will block it

WTFast is allowed by pretty much all MMOs but I’ve heard some horror stories of “automated bans” due to the VPN raising suspicion.

I don’t know what kind of, if any, automated programs IMC has running with their game.

thank you for your reply. this really cleared up the confusion i have.

brownie points for you

ima proceed to use mudfish then because its cheaper. xD that 25 gb could last me for 6 months already. i think, or even more haha.

few weeks ago, I read the terms of service and IMC said that VPN is not allowed. However, few days ago, I read again and didn’t see that line anymore. Actually, IDK what they are thinking

ima stay away from wtfast. i heard stories about how suspicious it is.

:frowning: what the. really???
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. dont want to get banned just by using a stupid vpn. TT_TT

ima wait more i guess?

You should try trial account and test ping first. My friends who are using WTFast said that WTFast is a little bit more expensive than other VPN services but its quality is high. There is also a free VPN page you can consider  http://mytunneling.com/

PLDC just sucks as of late. the sole reason i switched to Sky Broadband.

their billing system is dubious as hell and they don’t deliver on their promises. but i guess a VPN can help you out.

Not trying to be negative or anything I’ve just heard stories about VPNs and “automated banning”. Or VPNs adding you to a “suspicious activity” list.

I could be paranoid for nothing and IMC allows VPNs and has measures in place to detect them so you don’t get falsely banned.

If IMC could confirm it would be really swell because I’m also curious about this.

I’ve been using WTFast since CBT and it’s working ok. I don’t think you will get banned for using VPN for better ping. There’s no harm from that.

@Degenerate_F-8 they actually do suck. but i think locally they are great? i have seen an increase in ping for LoL PH. from 22ms gone to 18 ms. LOL[quote=“muitenphale1995, post:10, topic:304435”]

hmmm… my tunneling is too complicated. since im new to the vpn thing i dont wanna use it. xD ima stick to the simple mudfish. i do appreciate the suggestions though. i might try it next year. for now ima try use mudfish. as for wtfast. hmmm. i dunno. i can’t seem to trust them. xD

@fairyhell how much is wtfast? i really have a gut feeling that i dont want to use wtfast. xD i have seen it being used and endorsed by youtubers and they just get bashed for endorsing wtfast. so it really left me a bad image of that vpn.

A basic account take 4$ per month

WTFast left a bad impression on Steam and the community.
They used many strategies to get customer, such as offer free key for good reviews on steam, stop free trial out of nowhere.
But I must say, the service is not bad. It reduce 150-200 ping for me.

I actually used WTFast in FFXIV and it worked. Completely eliminating lag and excessive ping fluctuations. Despite their reputation, it DOES work really well.

The only problem it has is if your ping is already good enough, let’s say 50ms, using WTFast will make it worse like 150ms lol

I use pingzapper a cheaper alternative than wtfast and it works better for me. From 200+ ping down to 85+ ping.

Is the paid version of pingzapper any different from the free trial version in terms of performance?

update. i just used mudfish and it works great. from 200ms down to 70-80ms.
for some reason i have free data of 0.07 gig. so i didnt pay anything to test it. hahahha. works great.
