About the new silver penalty inside instanced dungeons

This nerf is painful but necessary. The primary difference between Saalus and dungeons is the silver in Saalus comes from shards, meaning very little silver is actually being created and instead other players are the ones buying the shards. Tax further helps remove silver from the economy and what we have is an effective way of mitigating inflation. The method IMC went for instead of flatly nerfing silver still gives newer players and characters an opportunity to make a little silver to offset the costs of progressing.

This was a good change. While the problem never should have existed in the first place, IMC is taking silver inflation seriously as they should.

Although not as much related to the original problem.

The dungeon silver reward has led some players to AFK on various characters to get “free silver” in the end. There’s some multi-account stuff going on as well. And probably even bots as some said in the thread.

I’m not sure if the Oracle master shows silver generated in dungeons or only on field maps but I’d definitely imagine DG300 has reached a rank (probably #1) on silver generation higher than it was intended, enough to be unhealthy and affect inflation.

If we take two simple points of view:

  1. “Inside the bubble”: The player vision alone. It’s bad, getting less silver is always bad for us, there will always be something to complain when we lose something we had before, no matter how much a reason makes sense or not. It takes some time to adapt/find alternatives and a new routine.

  2. “Outside the bubble”: The vision that doesn’t consider the individual. Look at it from a top view: Too much silver is being generated. All other means to get the same amount of silver requires being geared while this allows almost no gear and exploitive behavior (multi-acc, leech, afk, bot on instance etc).

It becomes quite clear why this change happened and why was it needed.

when talking about inflation. i wonder if the penalty will reduce the prices on the market

Personally I think they should introduce a 330 dungeon before implementing the silver penalty. But that would mean much fewer people doing lv300 dungeon, and leveling from 300 to 330 would be hell X(

i used exp cards for 300-330 from story mode.

it’s really fast considering there are tons of maps for this level range. especially once you kick in to lvl 14 cards

now levelling from 330-360 is a different thing. though doing this on CM is fast as well, it’s just that it’s longer to prepare

Story quests give you that much exp ? All I know is that I quests from 250-300, and it is insanely slow, at least until 281. I tried grinding but it’s just not that efficient.

lvl 13 and lvl 14 exp cards. once you hit lvl 14 cards it will be very fast. i actually had an extra 50-ish pcs of it when i capped 330 with lvl 15 class

So, according to your logic (because IMC has not explained the reason behind this implementation/change)…

The reason for silver penalty is due to some issues/problems with “Exploitive behavior” of some players. . .

An exploiting behavior which is translated to “Farm silver”… in a farming game.

What´s next on IMC agenda, according to your (coming soon irrefutable) line of reasoning?

a) Exploitive behavior of Saalus Convent missions Blessed shards?

b) Exploitive behavior of gear in CM?

c) Exploitive behavior of silver in CM?

If the problem where the afk and bots… why did all the community had to pay for their miss-usage of gameplay system?

If the problem was that there was a very low porcentaje of the active community, trying new stuff (CM, HG, Raids, etc.) Then what a bad way to promote or invite players to try such new stuff. . .

Anyhow… Let´s see how this goes down in what´s left of the week.

No, that’s not my reason.

Read the very first line of my post:

Original problem: Silver Penalty x Inflation.

Now. read my post again:

I’m not in any way saying that was the reason IMC did it.
Nor that it was something that alone is enough reason for a silver nerf.

Like a friend I discussed this very same topic with said: The really small minority with some exploit behavior can’t really dictate the policy over the majority part of the population like that.

I gave you two points of view to think so that you can understand how high is the effect of individual actions fueled by bad or egoist ill and how possibly it affect, either directly or indirectly - also either in total or partially, decisions and changes.

Then, sorry but I’m not going to take your baits.

Please read my post and explanation again. Then please, stop trying to distort what I said. Thanks.

This was never meant to be Tree of daily Instance dungeon.

I’m at loss of understanding how or why them trying to move away from the current players ridiculous focus on dungeon-running would make anyone “pissed” o_o

I don’t think there’s anything wrong when everyone is affected by the nerf, there’s no /real/ problem here.

It’s more of “why this came first” before implementing a way to abolish afk macro necro sorcs.

Or manually eradicate them faster.

You know something is wrong when a Guild leader of a famous guild himself is farming silvers this way

Here’s their statement as to why they did what they did https://treeofsavior.com/page/news/view.php?n=1275

Wish they acknowledged necro bots as a source of the silver problem as well.

You’re a cool guy Pokart. I feel like you’re wasted on this game. We should hang some time. Shoot some hoops.
