About Krivis Melstis

how this skill works?

I think this:

When this skill is active, yours buffs will stop in time, and their timers too.
And I think this only apply to people who are in the circle.

+1, and also your sp drains like a bastard while you’re doing it.

so its better if i m not get this skill?

depends on your class build. Like for intance, this skill will be extremely handy for Sadhu’s, considering their dependence on Safety Wall and Fade

I can agree that melstis could be used with be used with fade (whether if it’s worth the sp is up to the user).

Safety wall:

Anyway the ideal usage is in team plays for buff(s) with a long cooldown or one with a large difference between the duration & cooldown. It does eat most of your sp in return, so it calls into question if extending those buffs was worth losing that much sp (cutting down your fighting potential as a krivis).

Never thought tiles-based buffs to be exemptions… hmm… Anyway, that’s something for me to figure out in-game, unless someone could beat me to it :smile_cat:

As for the justification of fade + melstis, i think that it’s tot’lly worth the price, if your sadhu that is, coz OOB is just way too OP(exaggeration)!

I guess your thinking of casting fade -> attack with obb -> casts mel while fade is still up to make it last til fade cd is down -> recast fade then repeat.

It’s kind impractical for one person alone to pull off because you would need c2 cleric, c3 krivis, and c1 sadhu (all 6 ranks that currently available). Alternating between safety wall & Fade works just as well and doesn’t need as much class commitment.

Melstis only affects buffs/debuff that have timers, so if the buff given from tiles has a timer, then it can be extended. Safety Zone sadly does not have a timer on the buff icon, so it can’t be extended. If you leave the SZ tile even inside Melstis’ AoE, you will lose the buff.

When casting Melstis, you have to channel it. When you’re channeling skills in Out of Body, you cannot attack or move your spirit form. This holds true for skills like Sadhu’s Possession and Vashita Siddhi.

Basically Attack phase(Fade & obb )->pause phase (Rrakiti & melstis for fade cd to come up) -> Attack phase -> etc…

Pretty much a stall tactic to keep fade up (assuming obb doesn’t just get you boss aggro). (At least that’s my interpretation of elijiahrave tactic when he said f “As for the justification of fade + melstis, i think that it’s tot’lly worth the price, if your sadhu that is, … OP(exaggeration)!” (assuming it even works)

Also, i’m aware that you can’t attack with obb while channeling melstis that’s why i copied your whole post rather then just the part concerning safety wall. But general point was that even if that were possible, it requires too much commitment while there are much easier and equally as good ways (alternating safety wall and fade) without the additional effort of trying to include melstis in.

Nice, I’m learning so much! :smile_cat:

But still would want to confirm it first hand
I’m just wired this way

Melstis only affects buffs/debuff that have timers, so if the buff given from tiles has a timer, then it can be extended. Safety Zone sadly does not have a timer on the buff icon, so it can’t be extended. If you leave the SZ tile even inside Melstis’ AoE, you will lose the buff.<

I’m curious as to its effect on Goddess’ Blessing granted by Dievdirby’s Ausrine Statue:

The effect isn’t translated, but it’s a skill at C3, max buff time is 18s, require user to dance around the statue 3 times to gain the buff, and is said on forum to be some kind of invincibility. It’s impossible to get Meltis and this skill on one char with only 6 Ranks, so I wonder if Meltis can extend its timer.

this skill is just so useless, IMC should rework this
