About Featherfoot and Plague Doctor nonsense

How medicine worked in the Middle Ages was more like mysticism and superstition than real science. Besides the case of Plague Doctor is special because it was more a mortician than a doctor. The theme of the purge and Extreme Unction seem to have much to do with the role of the priest. Put away the evil from patient and accompany him in death.

Taoism is not a religion but rather an occult science, such as alchemy. The Taoists were advising the upper classes of Chinese cities on morality and health. They predicted the future in the stars but mostly are the first scientists to catalog the reign of living. Of course they are related to the study of the five elements and ki.

Exactly, one thing i ended up thinking also is, special class tress that are detached from the main trees, but need to be unlocked with certain conditions, like Scion on Path of Exile, but still need more polishing on the idea.

What is the role of a cleric? A healer. What is a healer in a real world sense? A doctor. What do doctors do? They deal with medicine. What is an antidote? It’s a medicine.

You all do realized that he just wanted to have IMC to fixed the classes tree right? So that Wizard can have PD and Cleric can take Featherfoot instead. This way, wizard is entirely op with CON mode + immunity against resistance and making Cleric more underdog than it suppose to be at the moment.

Make sense. Just saying.

Yeah both classes do fit their respective trees, that’s what I said.

He can keep dreaming lol @lumoloud

In the medieval era, medicine and religion were closely tied together. So much so that a doctoral degree required a prerequisite of religious studies. Just do a search on plague doctors and the and the treatments they prescribed and you will see how Clerics>PD makes so much sense.
