Is there any kind of list of things it’s known to work with? I know about ice wall, boss traps and heal/cure panels, but I’m curious things like paviase or caltrops…

Probably work with almost everything (paviase isnt a trap)
I know with paviase sounds unlikely, but I would never expect it to work with fireball and fire wall either (which it apparently does)
That’s… fairly OP for Sapper now in PvP if you fight any magic user basically… wow. 
Makes me wonder how to play around that.
Yes… some classes can destroy/steal magic circles like safety wall are a huge threat in pvp for classes like sadhu
