AA Build Suggestions - New Player

Hi everyone,
I have just returned from a 2 year break, and am looking to give the Scout a go. I have fond memories of playing my rogue -> assassin in RO, and am wondering which classes are closer to an AA build that was found in old RO. Does assassin rely mostly on skills, or AA for damage? What classes would you suggest if I wanted to kick back and just AA my way to victory?

Really appreciate any advice, tips and guidance.

Try Bullet Maker with double stance and you’ll see the real AA -

Scout -> Bullet Marker -> Linker -> Enchanter : AA + aoe. Can melt boss. very gud AA
If you like “RO”'s Assassin Style then I recommend you
Scout -> Outlaw -> Corsair -> Assassin
Outlaw have 2 skills similar to Thief and Assassin
Throw Sand and Mangle (the animation is looks like sonic blow)
Corsair can use DWA for auto attacks
Assassin have potion that can boost attack speed.
If you don’t like assassin/corsair then you can replace it with enchanter

Why I change it

  • You don’t have to use Blindfire because you will need to allocate 2 weapon for a skill
  • Agress is very good to aggro-ing enemies while increase your movement speed a lot
  • Dust Devil is only for CC. Not bad at damage but you should put it on Brutality. Brutality will change from +20% damage Pierce/Missile to +20% damage Slash/Gun. Almost all Assassin skill use “Slash” type.
  • You don’t have to max Hasisas for Double Weapon Assault. Instead, you should max Behead for it HUGE damage and put 1 skill point into Heart Piercing for +50% Critical Rate for 10 second.

Why I change it

  • Electric shock is a goddamn good skill and it can melt any bosses and player.
  • Physical Link is for dumping the skill point. Don’t ever use it.
  • Agility is a “1 point wonder” skill. Not worth maxing it unless you have problem with stamina consumtion.
  • Enchant Lightning, Lightning Hands, and Enchant Earth worth maxing to increase your AA pistol attacks.
  • Silver Bullet is good skill. Can change your attack properties to Holy(and Lightning if you use Lightning Hands). Put it 5 is enough for 100% uptime.
  • Put 1 point in Tase is enough. Only need the debuff to melt the boss.
  • RIP is a “1 point wonder” skill to fill the rotation and it’s a good aoe skill.
  • Bloody Overdrive is a core skill. It have attribute that make you invincible for the entire animation.
  • Put 1 point in Smash Bullet. Only use it for the debuff tho similiar to Tase.
  • Tracer Bullet only 1 skill because we only need the buff from the attribute.
  • Mozambique Drill maxed. Deal a lot of damage against monster/people with very high defense.
  • Freeze Bullet to freeze enemies/bosses.

Little tip on this build.

  • If you think there’s so much buff in this build, in enchanter try only use Over-Reinfoce, Lightning Hands and Enchant Lightning.

Simply better, SR have a neat skill rotation, and no space to do AA.

I recommend Linker BM Enchanter for better grinding life. If you give them BM on the last rank, then they will make a long way to get Outrage.

Yeah as lumo said, you should take BM-Linker-Enchanter if you’re solo. or Linker-BM-Enchanter if you have friends
for Assassin build, you can take Corsair-Assassin-Outlaw

Really appreciate all the help! I am going to try out BM - Linker - Enchanter and see how that goes. I have friends to play with, but they are all high level :smile:

ever heard BM Corsair, because corsair give buff for missile, cons is corsair lack of pistol skill, so I wonder better BM Enchan Linker or BM Enchan Corsair,

Corsair has decent pistol skill actually! Brutality is also very nice, along with pillaging (when it’s fixed), and jolly roger. It’s a heavy recommend outside of the others.

IMO the two good BM builds are:

BM-Corsair-Enchanter
BM-Thauma-Linker

If you go BM-Linker while you can go Enchanter, it feels lacking to not have gone thauma with linker tbqh.

If you go BM-Corsair there are other third options, but basically both corsair and enchanter give you strong benefits to your class. Outlaw has some really good skills to syngergize, but not as much as I’d like personally. (You have invuln from their pistol skill and you have bully for evade, and you have Aggress to provoke mobs on you [and make them come faster], but that’s really it).

BM-Corsair-Assassin also is pretty good but Assassin’s main point it will bring you will just be Hasisas. Feels like a waste, would rather have outlaw, linker or enchanter at that point.

Also don’t stack too many class combos that give you ASpd steroids if you don’t have good ping! Instead aim for +damage steroids (Enchanter’s skills, Brutality, etc). Quicken+Hasisas will let you attack fast, but probably outpace your ping for most people or make building more ASpd simply not worth while. Find a nice balance.

Tryed Thauma>Ench>Assassin for the best possible auto attack… it was real bs… low dmg and barely triggered few crits

How you guys sugest to level with a new accounts?
Since new accounts dont get good pistols for leveling like other classes?

In the main quests they have boxes with equipment every certain level, practically you do not have to worry about equipment while you level up

This may sound like a silly question, but as an assassin/corsair when I auto attack, the attacks feel really weak, especially compared to any of the skills. I did not really feel this way with BM/Linker as BM has a strong AA buff on a somewhat short CD. Right now my only real method for killing things is annihilation (long CD) and Impale Dagger from Corsair.

Is assassin just not as strong as BM for PvE? Especially focusing on AA, or do I need to hold out for the 4th class choice?

Assassin right now doesn’t add much to auto attack except for hasias attack speed. Which you might not even be able to feel if your ping is bad. You pick assassin for their extra aoe, crit rate buff and debuffs. Later on hasias will buff crit damage as well so theres more reasons to pick it.

If you are starting out then going corsair to enchanter is a bigger boost than going assassin to corsair. Enchanter adds another line of damage and boosts it, it gives you faster run speed, block even when using a dagger. Later on the hit enchant will boost crit rate as well so it complements it further.

Im leveling a scout > corsair > enchanter > assassin and its been pretty easy so far. I’ve considered changing assassin to linker but with the event over I might just sit on it.

BM - Enchanter - Linker
or
BM - Enchanter - Thaumaturge

Thauma without linker is trash imo. If you’re not going for swell body links you’re better off going with Corsair or enchanter. Whichever you don’t have. They provide better buffs to your AA and skills than thauma. Swell body without JP is trash.

OF those two I’d prefer linker over thauma though.
