Since you guys are planning to add new field bosses to the game, you could also do something
that will turn the game less predictable too.
Sometimes, a monster mob can spawn at a certain location, and the players in the map see
on their screen top a news telling that a mob is attacking at a certain place, then on the minimap
should show a dot of where the mob is happening, and in the quest log the progress of accomplishment
of the mob if the player is nearby.
The mob would work like a wave event, where the monsters spawn in a certain number (number increasing with the number of nearby players), and when a number of them is defeated, a new wave spawns with a higher number, or higher leveled/harder mobs, and when on the final wave, the mob spawning is infinited (but in a controlled number, and not giving exp) and a boss that spawns in the camp would appear, being that the last wave will only end if the boss is killed.
The mob should happen in some place that have a npc nearby, or a structure, the mob event fails
if the structure or the npc is damaged/hurt enough to surrender.
To win, the players have to defeat all waves, and the rewards will be distributed among all players who
helped in the event, with at least 10% of damage contribution total.
The rewards could range between equipments found in the map, to materials enough of dropping like
as if x(insert number) of a certain map mob were killed. Alongside, obviously, exp, I’m not sure If
the exp given should be exp cards or just give the exp right away, that is up to you.
To make the mob be an event where players will surelly be drawn to it, It should happen in a small
delay of time (like 5~15 minutes) after the last mob and begin only if a player is near It’s spawn point.
The quest in West Siauli Woods, where the player talks to the guard, and then a lot of kepas fall from
the tree could give an idea of how the spawning could work, but in the event, should be in waves and
on the map itself.
So, what do you think of the idea?
