If we take a look at our current community, we see countless megaphone spams that contains words that may insult a person or even a group of people; Rebuttal’s also happen frequently due to this. So far, I have yet to see a moderator in-game to become a mediator between these two parties; is it due to lack of time, or participation? For every insult, one’s morale goes down until he/she/they may no longer even want to participate in future due to the community always pushing insults to that person/group. Of course, we don’t want to lose people due to the fact that every person is important; although, those who push other people to the ground are pretty much unwanted due to their lack of respect.
What am I trying to bring up, perhaps? Well, I’d like to make a proposal: To have at least 2 Trusted, well respected and kind players coming from each country. Yes, this might sound like a lot of hard work, but it doesn’t have to be immediate; everything must be done one step at a time. Each of these people must come from the community who’s reputation is good enough to be trusted. They must also have some visible impact from the community: helps people who are having concerns in both game and in forum, encourages people to participate in events, etc. They are the ones who will be considered the “Wire” of both the community and the staff. With their help, not only will the concerns of people lessen but also lessens the stress of the staff. If they’re showing more participation than normal, their tickets will be on the top priority since this ticket may report things that would break the whole community apart. In-game, they can be those who’ll try to put a stop to any possible fights that may or is happening in the shout box(their In-game/forum names should be stickied in a thread on the general discussions in order for more people to notice)
I’m sure it will be of great help in order for us to have a community since the lack of communication(mostly in-game) between both players and staff members of IMC Games is quite disheartening.
