A suggestion to kick the gold sellers ass

So, some features that will break gold sellers spam:

  • Doesn’t allow the player to send 3 equal messages in a short period
  • Doesn’t allow the player to send 3 equal global messages in a short period
  • If the player insist, get muted for some minutes
  • Add a spam report option, currently we just have bot report
and with it the player that is spamming could get a minute of 10minutes or more you know? and for every time it repeats increase the time

I know gold sellers could be botters as well, but separate things helps to make the decision of what to do, the game system could analise the last chat messages of the spammer and decide if he will get a mute or not

So, it is really easy to do, annnd the spammers are THE ENTIRE DAY on the cities spamming, why IMC guys doesn’t see it? impossible :stuck_out_tongue:

My friends used to joke that they are IMC games guys selling gold to get more money hahaha

  1. They don’t send equal messages, at the very end of their message they add a different number sequence.
  2. Same as above.
  3. Same as above, since the messages are not the same.
  4. That’s interesting, there could be feature that mutes the player if a certain amount of reports are made against it or whatever.

oh yep, they can send messages witha different number at the end, but the people reporting it still kick 'em

Even calling them parasites is still a compliment, freaking disgusting.

totally agree @Anarth and it disturbs a lot!!! when walking on the cities, I feel like when you are on that websites to whatch something online and have 10 kinds of ads to close before watch something

I totally agree with you

The only real solution is the report function, it’s hard to develop something to identify if 2 messages are almost the same, and still be able to see thru changes they could make.
Even if they ignore the last X characters of a message, bots could just put those numbers at the beggining, if you try to see if an string of X characters from the middle of the sentence is the same, they could just randomly insert dots on their sentences.
