A question for all the non-cleric classes

How do you survive the early levels with only the potions from Klaipedia? I made Hoplite to test out the class and my main problem was actually keeping my HP high enough to grind/quest.

My Hoplite was only level 43 and the best HP potion in Klaipedia was only healing him for 5-10% of his HP at most.

This is an honest question from someone who has been completely spoiled by cleric sustain.

To survive as a Swordsman class type, you will need to focus in one of the sets of equipments, that are not Cloth, Plate is more recommended for lasting longer, and then level up the set bonus parameter on the Swordsman Class master.

The HP Potions will not be helpfull for refilling the health, but will be usefull to slowdown the health lowering, so you must use it when your health is lower than 3/4 or 4/5 of the health bar.

Also, ever use the best potion you can find in the store.

Swordsman have so much HP that they survive anything early game. It’s just that recovery is slow. For STR builds (like your hoplite) it is a bit harder, but it’s nothing that major. Plus Hoplite/Tank builds have a shield and the Petalsta’s Guard.

Archers are ranged, and they can take out magic and ranged mobs quickly before they can do much to them. Have to be careful on bosses though.

Wizards are pretty squishy but most just invest a good amount in CON since INT isn’t the best scaling stat.

Yes, all 3 classes have to sit to recover HP. Get used to it. :stuck_out_tongue: Just carry around cheap firewood to speed it up.

try use barbar , cartar stroke for boss and helm chopper + cleave combo overkill and instant overkill from seism

I didn’t know sitting and buying potions was a thing in this game till I played something that wasn’t cleric

cause am a badass wizard, that’s how I overcome anything :stuck_out_tongue:

also, I want to use this post to mention how much I HATE that ^ emoticon

:expressionless: disgusting as the only ;p one

Hope you like sitting on your 3 letters in front of a fire for excruciating amounts of time, because that is what you’re going to be doing without a cleric…
Resting mechanics in this game are balls and need some serious rework.

From my warrior experience it seems that you will need to rest a bit of the time, like said above potions won’t really help you keep your hp high, but instead slow the degeneration of your hp. Other than that hope for fast kills, Also I used a mix of plate/leather armour although i was heading for the leather route.

Korean games is a kind o different games…
The purpose is be HARD…
Easy games isnt KOREAN GAMES

Archer and wiz aren’t too bad as they can stay at a range and take far less damage, sword you just have to find the right setup to where the amount of damage you do is enough to drop them before losing too much heath, be it having a tanky build so you take less damage while picking away at them, or full dps/evade style where you kill them before you take many hits. Pots are always going to be used more for sustaining your HP/SP than actually recovering loss, use them simply to keep going until you need to rest. Always have a good supply of firewood on you as you will use it frequently. Naturally, if you invest in to con/spr you will get more regen and thus have to wait less time to get enough to continue on, though the time to fully heal up will remain relatively the same. Don’t focus so much on fully healing, but rather healing as much as you know you will need to continue. May still be resting the same amount of total time but it will at least keep you more active so you don’t feel like you are sitting around wasting time as much.

Normal mobs can’t kill a swordsman. Just keep your gears at the best you could get.
If your gears can’t keep it up…Always ask for a heal from resting Clerics by the camp fire or intercept a Heal trap set by KSing Clerics.

Boss fight soloing…always keep your exp around 90% before a boss fight. This is where you EXP scrolls comes in.

p.s. I went for Swordie C3. Not all that take a sword are OP.

Swordsmans for sure don’t have much problems with that since they kill monsters so fast that they can’t retaliate in time, and archers don’t take that much damage too but they have to drink a lot of SP potions instead, and sit to recover sp when potions aren’t enough. Wizards suffer much more because their damage is not very good (except for pyrolinkers), so monsters reach them before dying, and at this point they’ve already spent all the spells so they have to use both HP and SP potions, and sit too.

You and a lot of people just like you on these forums confuse hard with tedious. I assure you that is not the same thing.

I will take ‘Campfires’ for 200 Alex.

I have to say, even though I killed things slower on my cleric, the downtime when playing as any other class annoys me so much more considering I play solo most of the time.

Based on the tutorial, I believe that is not really the thing…
Was like yesterday that on a mmo my new character could be killed by a Poring…

Ranged classes kite.

And when i was a swordsman i did so much damage i barely even lost hp so i never considered it a issue but swordsman is the tree i played the least i only went to 50.
