The difference between hitting Ice Wall with a melee attack and with PP is that PP is much faster and hits much more Ice Walls (depending on level) while a melee attack depends on your AoE Attack Ratio and is much slower.

Psychic Pressure hits more targets the more you level it, which means you can hit more Ice Walls.
I have to disagree. I have tried Sorc Cat Buff +5 attack aoe ratio and the amount of icewall it hit is the same amount on auto attack. In addition to the faster proc of the ice shards using pp, the additional damage it deals is dependent on the skill/attack you use. Auto attacking it will deal less damage because your physical damage is not high

I did some tests on different equipments. This is using my alt.
Using a staff - It takes Magical Attack when using ‘C’ key.
I’m using a Ju Staff here. Also tested with Maledoom.
Using a dagger - it only takes the secondary attack obviously. I’m using superior dirk dagger here.
