How good or bad would it be if ToS came out and had a system where you could use your mic in a party? Or have a mic room for every map? Or guild?
oooh, bummer :c
20chars
Skype, Teamspeak, Discord.
I don’t think the game can get just so complicated that you need to use a voice system in order to cooperate and rearrange your strategy due to certain events.
The only use i can think of is mass pvp, but other than that i don’t find it useful at all.
Dungeons and missions are pretty straightforward too, so a simple chatbox will do.
i use steam group chat for me and my friends when we play a moba game in steam (cant say the name because i dont know if it would violate the rules in the forums)
inviting them and press start group chat. it is almost the same in team speak and other programs that relates to it.
since iToS will run using steam so it is good if you use it. what i dont know is if you can see their steam profile using their ToS Character. if its your friends then steam group chat is better and faster for lazy people
but if you need it for advance stuff aside from casual voice chatting then i guess steam group chat is not good for that thing
I do not like this idea.
95% of what most people say over voice chat is stupid and useless stuff, and only about 5% of what they say is useful/important information. Sure, I could just mute or not join voice chat, but then I would miss out on that 5%. I don’t want to have to listen to a bunch of 12 years olds talk about their sexual encounters with my mother just so that we can have a proper conversation when the time comes that critical information needs to be conveyed.
I’ve hosted VoIP servers for friends and guilds before, and I will probably do the same for ToS. I just don’t want to feel forced to use voice chat with a bunch of randoms I got partied with during a dungeon run.
I give likes to posts that convey important information or very reasonable opinions, and I like posts that make me laugh. But rarely do I find a post that does both of those things in one. Here, you earned it.
Also, I do remember them mentioning the possibility of including a VOIP system for Guilds back in one of their FAQ/Interviews awhile ago, but they’re most-likely not going to follow-through with it at this point.
The same can be said during call of duty or any other voice chat game. Really shouldn’t blame voice chat for this situation. I totally understand and respect your opinion though! c:
I mean. Discord is a lovely solution. c:
I think this is a bad idea… While GvG is making big stress on servers, server’s voip function will kill connection between players and server. (even u dont use it, someone will allways use)
even if they added it i can honestly say i would never use it
i’d rather use better quality voip with my friends than a bad one with random people
haven’t experienced 12 year olds telling that they ■■■■■■ my mother over mic but experienced a murderer scene in R*ST where they say that they gonna murder me and my family if i dont open the door and tell them who killed one of their guy
ok back on topic
as long as you have the option to block their voice chat in party or group chat then im kinda ok with a built in system.
Instant mute if it will.

Why do you not only necro this thread but also reply to me for no reason? I said theres multiple ways to talk. If teamspeak is not working, pick another one
