A lesson for IMC Games

Don’t end up like Red5 Studio and their game Firefail.

Take notes on what Digital Extremes have done with Warframe from launch to now. As similar indie self published game who started a lot worse off than IMC, their success story should be an inspiration as well as a lesson for IMC Games.
How and what makes Warframe so successful even now? What are they doing right compared to IMC and Tree of Savior?

Also, you probably won’t believe me but look at this. Check out the dates. https://forums.warframe.com/forum/3-pc-update-build-notes/

What lesson? IMC does not need any lesson.

“Therefore, I am confident enough to say that cut it out. And stop embarrassing yourself.”

Red5 studio have internal conflict in their company which lead to change of entire development team, it’s diffirence with IMC imo.

ye…its nice seeing them making a proper game out of it. the difference i see to tos nnow though is that the tos game client is essentialy broken. bugs everywhere…alot of people cant even properly start the game, get stuck in loading screens, sudden launcher crashes and all that stuff. then fundamental game bugs like broken skills, quests all those hidden exploits being used by shameless creatures.

then comes the bot and goldseller problem and a community that gets pissed more and more with every passing day.

and to top it all they need to somehow make money and pay for all that stuff they provide.

i probably even missed something but ye…there is just so much stuff they have to deal with…lately i havnt seen any proper response from a staff member in the forum (lets forget about john slipping up there).

no its not an excuse…but they already ■■■■■■ it up and theres no point complaining about the same things every day until its fixed.

you know…if you get bad grades and your mom is scolding you ever day until next year, it wouldnt end good i suppose. lets hope they dont need to take the game down…would be a shame really

Lesson?

IMC is so lesson-resistant, your words go to waste regardless of what you want to say.

Dont embarass yourself.

I understand your point but there’s one thing

…what? There’s nothing embarassing here?

Dont embarass yourself or Stop embarassing yourself or other variations of that … it is a meme based on a staff response.

I see. I’m assuming that’s the same for huehuehue?

But they’ve already ruined the game worse than any other company has with their new games

I play Warframe. Fun game. Their developers update often and are very open with the community and just make you love them like family, which makes people more likely to buy stuff.
Warframe also doesn’t suffer from hackers/bots/goldsellers at all and I don’t need some annoying subscription to be able to sell stuff. ~.~ ToS’s restrictions don’t even stop the goldsellers and just end up giving all the legit players a terrible barely existent economy where I can’t buy any simple crafting mats because nobody has room to sell their stuff. ;-;

ye i agree…it all those restrictions make the game feel cheap imo… although the game itself gives the vibe of high effort.
i think warframe doesnt suffer from bots because the maps are randomly generated no?..might be the way to go in the future for free mmo’s…i dont mind it tbh

it’s ironic because ToS was well known and had a lot of hype, people had high expectations of it, pretty much an instant greenlit on Steam, probably had large amount of people investing in it buying founder packs or whatever. ToS had a lot of chance to become successful.

Now compare to Warframe which started off way worse, literally every publishers rejected it, a game barely anyone heard of, it remained low key quietly creeping its way to success.

gotta agree IMC need to learn alot from other developers, in this case warframe, they have great comunication with they player base and heard them most of the time, the community is pretty good, they update frequently with hotfixes every week, like some have say it already, they went from a game that no publisher wanted to invest to being a game with thousands of people playing daily(you can see it on the top 20 of steam players most of the time and they have a stand alone client, plus PS4 and Xbox one versions), they even started their own Convention for their players, tough about goldsellers/bots point cant be compared since warframe doesnt have a world to play in, you can barely call it a MMO game, since its a 4p, with trials/raids with 8p at most, those are instanced mision randomly generated, just gotta add that i been playing warframe since closed beta and “love” it, just feel i need to add that point(the barely MMO thing)

ahem https://forums.warframe.com/forum/3-pc-update-build-notes/

what about that? Updates are Content(new weapons/quests/frames/change on mechanics, etc) which they try/do frequently(not every week), Hotfixes are, like the name imply, quick fixes in beetween updates which they do weekly sometimes 2-3 times(moslty with big updates that break some stuffs XD)

edited:tried to fix some grammar (not a native english speaker/writer)

sorry, all the people that matter in IMC can’t even read in english, it looks like

It is the time of the rank reset. The returners however discovered the game is still broken and left again. That is a spike, not a peak.
