A Hybrid healer/dps bd - Is it viable?

What I have in mind is:
Cleric3 > Priest3 > Chaplain1 > Inquisitor1 > Zealot1

The goal is to use this bd doing both solo cm (aiming stage 5) and Velcoffer raid. Usually I am doing Velcoffer with my guild mates—they prefer hybrid healer/dps than pure Kaba cuz they are pretty well geared , can survive pretty well without Kaba.

Not sure how to distribute the stats —I assume something like 150dex , 50str, 50con, 110int? The thing is this bd need to have enough Hp, Attack speed, heal power, and accuracy to work…Right now I am wearing solmiki 3 cloth + 4 plate so it should be enough to pull them off?

Any experienced cleric player can tell me—around how much heal power/Int/spr needed to be a good healer? And around how much str needed to solve the accuracy problem? (don’t want to use Daino scroll)

Build wise, taking Inq1 over zealot2 cuz I want to solo cm if possible. Taking zealot1 for the sweet Immolation fire property attack attribute and pain barrier buff. Seems like zealot1 can be replaced by taoist1 for aoe fade and stromcalling, but personally I feel zealot1 is better on the offensive side.

Any thoughts?

you can try the meme chap build , c1-priest3-chap-kriv3-inqui1
good for AA DPS and good for a bit of support with priest3

For hybrids I recommend Cleric2 > Krivis3 > Druid1 > Kabbalist2 > Inq1.

It has heals, auto attacks and AoE to take on most pve content.

I have the similar build, though I went with Inquisitor 2 instead of Zealot 1.

My stat distribution is 120 con, 120 spr, 120 dex. My gears are all con. Leaving me with 80k+ hp.
Your accuracy problem will be solved with monstrance, and it’s not like every time mobs dodge your attacks.
Solo cm is viable, I can usually carry my team upto cms6 back when I had centaurus card. Cms7 is easy if you have a falconer in the party.

I use a leather plate for more accuracy / crit rate, but honestly you could go with your 3miki, 4 plate. The heals with this build is not so amazing, it still fails to keep up with full support build heals, but nevertheless it keeps your team alive with some leverage to dps.

In terms of dps, inqui3 for the upcoming r10 patch is huge, zealot 3 is on the same boat but nevertheless it’s wiser taking krivis on zealot for the extra uptime of buffs.

What my problems with the build:

  1. If you have a whale on the party, you would end up loosing a lot of dps due to mobs getting killed by other players. Flame attribute helps a lot in dps. You deal damage but it’s not optimal, the only way to counter act this is being geared yourself and hopefully last hit mobs.

  2. Sometimes, you need to stop dealing dps due to your party getting low. Snuck in a few mass heals while dealing dps.

  3. While one-handed weapon is nice, I think that having a two-handed mace helps in dps.

  4. Take inqui3 in r10, with c3 classes being significantly different to their c2, you would feel a big difference in dealing DPS. Most of the time you would AA with this build, but with inqui c3, you can Wheel + Scissors, and take note of cd reduction on wheel is very good. It would require a lot of torture tools but if you’re dead set on dps go with it. I don’t really see the value of zealot 1.

Thanks that’s interesting build.

May I ask what are the synergies that Kab2 brings to this bd? Because Nachash is a good aoe spell? Or Merkabah have some hidden synergy with other skills? In Merkabah divine protection attribute description—is says “temporarily gain the Holy property…” what exactly do it mean?

Thanks for detailed respond!

From your feedback seem like such bd can’t really fulfill the full healer role very well…May I ask if you ever use your cleric3 priest3 Chap1 Inq2 doing Velcoffer raid and was the only healer in the party? Will the heal be enough?

I’m not sure for inqui3 (skill based) though, may want to stick with AA style more. I’ll wait and see how the meta shifting after R10 coming.

Merkabah’s with its C2 attribute “temporarily gain holy property damage” is one of the 3 multiplier skills within Kabbalist’s arsenal (the other 2 being Double Chance and Gevurah).

If the player has the Merkabah buff, all attacks that the player do gains an additional line of holy attack that is 10% damage of the attack dealt. So if your attack deals 10k damage, it will generate an additional line of damage that is 1k holy. What is special about it is this additional line gets elemental property bonuses and blessing again. With the above example, if the player has a 2k blessing, the attack is 12k , and bonus 10% damage line is 3200 damage, (1.2k + 2k blessing).

This makes Merkabah really suitable as a burst style spell as long as the build is built towards it. Unlike the other 2 damage multiplier that Kabbalist has which requires skills with high SFR (skill factor), Merkabah is geared towards skills that are able to dish out many hits in a short period of time, and is party friendly as it doesn’t have a hit limit.

A video on the build’s burst with merkabah.

With this it is easy to see how the build comes about, the build has many multi hit skills like Zaibas, Heal, Cure, Chortas, Carnivory, Nachash. Kabbalist C2 is in this build isn’t just for the support, it’s the dps it brings to the table and the entire build revolves around it.

There are other skill synergies in the build too, like the Pears of Agony + Seedbomb combo as shown below (Druid1 + Inquisitor1). There is also the Double Chance + Godsmash burst too but I don’t really recommend it, at least until IMC decide to buff Double Chance’s hit area.

And of course Krivis c3 + Inquisitor for Auto attack goodness, although it isn’t as good as the meta KrivisChap it still isn’t shabby. The build trades AA damage for reach (more aoe).

As for how does the build fare for CM solos, here is a video of it with low tier gear and minimal attribute investments (core attributes needed with 0% dmg attribute invested).

Gear investments

  • White equipment armor and Accessories
  • Vienarace Mace (Total 2.7k ~ 2.8k matk and 2k patk)

Attribute Investments is around 23 million worth, with a huge bulk of it to Burn attribute.

For R10 wise, the build has a few paths to go:

  • Kabbalist C3 for more heals, support and dps. Gevurah lv5 + Godsmash is good.

  • Druid C2 for more utility support and dps. Sterea Trofh in a healer build is awesome, you get some nifty transform + meletis to extend it too.

  • Taoist C1 , more hits more burst with Creeping Death + Merkabah. Stormcalling works nice with zaibas and Godsmash too although it is quite tight with 5.5secs of debuff only.

  • Zealot C1 for more boosts and damage. 1k fire elemental damage on all lines of attack + Fanaticism which boosts all damage by 30% for a set period of time.

Thank you for great explanations! I am convinced to play this bd now xd.

Last question, around how much investments you think it will take for this caster inq bd to solo cm stage 6 in a ease? With my current +11 trans7 Masinios Mace and at least 40 million worth attributes and some aoe gears, will it be enough?

I can say that it is able to solo CM6 to an extend. I’m running with +13 T10 masinios mace but with far more investments (around 7.8k matk). It all depends on how lucky am I against the boss of CM6, when faced with bosses that keep casting invulnerbility moves and such, it is mostly a goner.

The build however is able to get around rank31 at Bernice. To get higher levels and CM6 with ease will have hit at least 9k+ matk.

For builds that can do CM6 easily with little investments, the meta chaplain is much better. The build I recommended is a generalist build, it can do a lot of things but can’t match the specialist builds that excel in a particular area.
