hey guys im making a support with some dps does:
Cleric3 > Pries3 > chaplain1> miko
spr build with some con for survival
will this work?
any advice is appreciated!
It’s better if you give up on Cleric 3 for Inquisitor or Taoist.
Go full SPR, no need for CON in PvM.
so like:
Cleric 2> Priest 3 Tao 1 > Miko 1
also what does PvM mean?
That’s a better choice than Cleric 3 imo. Just on a side note, you pick Taoist at Rank 8 so we usually say Taoist after Miko.

PvE, PvM, player versus environment or player versus monster. Basically everything that’s not PvP.

Cleric 3 isn’t bad. The thing is you’re picking Cleric 3 at rank 8 which has better classes options to offer you with.
Cleric 3 as a rank 3 class option is pretty powerful and I recommend it often on some builds.
Well, yes. It’s a really bad idea to have a typical “full support” cleric in ToS. The reason for that is because the whole system is unbalanced and you can always have a good support that also deals good damage. Full supports without any damage don’t actually have more useful support skills when compared to builds that can also do damage.
And it’s not just related to build balancing. The whole PvM/PvE content for ToS is heavily oriented towards dealing the most damage per second you can. Full support builds, such as these that try to minimize the damage your party members take, have no place in a party that wants to maximize it’s dps (and this will happen in every party in endgame). Monsters don’t deal enough damage to justify the loss of dps for a defensive support build.
A “good” support build is any cleric that picks Cleric 2 along with high INT/SPR. This makes their heals quite strong and good enough for about every PvM content.

If you’re a chaplain, go full SPR build. Don’t waste points in INT.
I was just commenting that SPR builds or INT builds do pretty good as healers (but don’t pick INT if you’re a chaplain).

Plague Doctor is a great class, but it’s biggest strength is it’s circle 2 skill named Black Death.
Picking Plague Doctor 1 at rank 8 surely isn’t a good choice. It falls in about the same issue as picking Cleric 3 as rank 8.
If you’re a begginer, I strongly recommend you finish your build with a rank 8 class. The rank 8 classes are:
Druid 3, Oracle 3 (terrible for PvM), Plague Doctor 2, Kabbalist 2 (terrible for PvM), Taoist 1 or Inquisitor 1.
You’re not forced to pick a rank 8 class at rank 8, but you need to be very certain of what you’re doing if you don’t.
It’s not terribly long, but you need to be patient to do it.

Best if you know what you’re getting yourself into. Just some perspective: I specced to Cleric3>Priest3>Chap>Inq from Cl2>P3>Chap>Miko>Inq because I was disappointed with the Hamaya nerf.
Was pretty happy with Cleric3 than the Miko one because of nice heal tiles (and the heal bomb damage), DM 10, and Cure 15 (becomes a really viable DOT with the attributes). All that trumped what little else Miko gave (i.e. nerfed Hamaya and Kagura). I also found it much easier to use vis-a-vis Miko. Just my 2 cents.

In my opinion, you’re better off with going Cleric3>Priest3>Chaplain>Inquisitor. All that Miko really puts on the table is Hamaya (which has been nerfed to a fixed 8-second DOT duration), Kagura (which restrains you from doing anything else as it is a channeling skill), and Sweeping, which extends ground-based spells but is difficult to properly execute. Gohei I never really found much use of, I think it is more a PVP skill. Oh and there is Clap, which extends some skills.
All these considered though plus the difficulty of the class quest, in my opinion, there is really very little that the class offers.
