A few tweaks for ToS

Hey, if you are actually looking for some improvements on getting a slight performance gain I would recommend:

  • Leatrix latency fix
This program will decrease the time it takes for the server to reach your client. It decreases input lag, loads maps slightly faster and basically speeds up anything like item drop pick up and whatnot. Anything handled by the server is sped up. You will get more or less benefits depending on the type of computer or ISP you have.

  • Unpark cores
This small app turns on all the inactive cores that aren’t running on your PC. Windows by default will park your CPU cores when it’s not doing anything and will only unpark cores when it needs to access them. Unparking your CPU cores will allow you to use your computer cores at 100%. This has helped me personally lesson stuttering in certain games and stabilize my performance a bit. This app is meant more for performance stability. Windows 7 users should gain a slight boost as Windows 7 tends to park cores off and on due to a bad algorithm.

  • Gamebooster
Fairly simple tool that disabled services and programs you don’t use by a push of a button. This app is good for people who aren’t too tech savy and don’t want to look up and disable every service, application, and mess with their registry manually. With a push of a button, you can turn off all your unneeded services and themes and when you want them back, just close the program and it will restore your settings back to default.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, this will help a lot… Especially latency fix; after end of 14day WTFast trial period…

Unpark core is not help a lot since game only use 1 core heavy… I am not a pc expert but after my researchs only way effective cpu core usage methode is supporting “Dx12” or “Vulcan” which is force the game use all cores even its wanna only use 1core… (there is an other app need to try but it might be a trap [$] or might usefull tool. “CPUCores” on steam market)

And gamebooster tools will help too (im using Razer Cortex)

Thank you for helping community and become supportive user but not destructive

Majority of video games are single threaded applications. This really isn’t Tree of Savior specific to be honest.

People just think every game is programmed with hyper threading in mind which isn’t the case. Some benchmarks have even suggested that hyper threading hurts performance.

What the unpark cores does is force your CPU cores open, mainly for other applications. So that your computer can handle other processes along with the game you have opened. When people play Tree of Savior, they don’t just have Tree of Savior opened. They have many applications and services running in the background like skype, team chats, controller software, browsers, anti-virus programs and other whatnot things.

That is why I said it’s more for stability than for performance gain. Your computer won’t need to switch cores off/on every time a background application needs to run, hurting performance. This is highly debated, but as I stated, it personally has helped me.
