Hello all. First of all I would like to thank the staff for listening and acting fast. That’s a good sign!
To keep it short, I’ve a few questions about the upcoming SA server:
- Will be it be run by LUG at any rate? If I transfer, I would like to be 100% that the server will be completely under IMC management.
- Will be us to force to change the client language? If so, what language the client would that be?
- Regional pricing, will be managed by Steam or IMC? Every country in the region has its own currency. Would be an average U$S dollar for all of us or each country will have its own ratio?
These are, at least for me, very important questions to be asked.
As you all know there are four major barriers between SA/LATAM players and US players (not considering SEA and EU as they have their own servers and issues as well):
- Language: We will have the same issue as now if the client is forced to be on a specific language (either Spanish or Portuguese). We should be able to choose the client language (even leaving it in English)
- Latency: The latency issue is easily fixed by moving a server to the SA region (for the most part).
- Currency exchange rate: This is a big issue if not addressed properly.
- Culture: These issues have a minor impact between SA cultures, despite them being existent, is not that bad between southern countries.
Hopefully will be able to hear back from you guys so we can make an educated decision on weather to transfer or not. Right now, I feel is more like a shot in the dark than anything else.
