A few bugs on the velcoff raid this week

yesterday I try to do velcoff 2 times the first on the stage 2 the dot of Velcoff curse cut my channeling on the stage 2 when I try to breake the wall, and that happen to other player to in the same raid.

them on my second cd of the raid, the gargoyle bug on a immune state so we have to reset the dung. them when my party was about to defeat velcoff (30kk aprx) the boss restore him entire health. may be because its skip an interphase because I remember that it was 3 (?)

Try to use Fade, Safety Zone or other forms to prevent damage and/or cancel aggro.

Invincibility state bug is because you somehow managed to interrupt one of its skills. Best practice for now is to stop all DPS when it’s immune to damage to avoid breaking that small AI cycle until it can take damage again. It also saves your cooldowns to do damage as soon as it’s done.

As for Velcoffer the “Ground Upheaval” has a Reversi effect, it healed itself with your Cleric’s heal squares. One of the solutions is to put heals very far away, another is to make sure you always consume or break the heal tiles before that move (i.e. Counter Spell without attribute).

You can also use Miko charms or Dispellers to avoid the “Silence” debuff the boss keeps applying.

im reporting a bug not asking for strategies. even a cleric with fade have interrupted the chan. only an archer for us group can do the channeling properly.

i dont have the effects on so i cant say that it was for the heal. anyway i keep blood curse on the boss to prevent any health effect.

I didn’t do that part many times but either my Chrono with Stop + Fade or my Cleric with Fade didn’t get interrupted but agreed, it is kind of a “bug” (or more like something that could be changed that poses no challenge).

As for boss healing, 100% sure it’s the cleric heal tiles. We learned it the hard way on the first runs.

Also, sorry about that. I posted trying to help with a workaround just in case you (or other readers) have the same problems. :x

sorry for my rudeness but if you wanna try to help new players make a post with a properly information. imo the 4 stage its the hardone. just because its the one who can take more time without a nice party with a few knockdown/knockback
but if on the stage 2 the curse cut you the channeling its become harder and thats no sense on the mechanic of the own stage (aggro control and that stuff)

like on ET every raid have 2 ways to be done. the easy with meta classes and the normal with properly mechanics

Would keeping Hex on the boss prevent it from healing even if tiles get flipped?

Blood Curse stops SP regen and allows your party to get healed by hitting the boss. It doesnt prevent boss from healing.

No idea, I think it’s the same as with players in duels. I never tested (nor plan to test on Velcoffer xD).

As already written, he steals healtiles at low HP.
Eat them while he casts that skills (slow animation) or put them far away.

Breaking that wall thing cancel is when you have Magic Shield on your char. Maybe a bug(?).
Just remove the buff by right-clicking the icon and dont cast it at that area.

Getting interrupted on the stone is not a bug. It’s only when you take damage from anything other than the dot that you lose the fragment.

You don’t need to do that, he will become un-immune once he casts the same ability a second time. This can eat a few minutes, but anything which can interrupt the boss (or move him while he’s casting like swap etc) can cause this to happen. Also not strictly speaking a bug, but you can remove the immunity with disenchant and gohei.

All it takes is a single heal tile–Ground Upheaval is a reversi. This will continue to happen until the healing formula is changed, but you should really just not cast tiles near him, make sure party members consume them immediately, or if you see him casting upheaval near them, break them with an ability like counterspell or detonate.
