Closed Beta =/= Content Wipe. Fyi.
The term Closed Beta or Closed Alpha refers to a stage of development where it is not open to the public. Content Wipes have nothing to do with it. People make that assumption now because the vast majority of games that go into “Open Beta” are basically Soft Releases.
This version is a type of Closed Beta where you have to buy into it, which is actually becoming quite popular recently. It isn’t open to the public freely; but it isn’t restricted by the company. Only your wallet.

Money is an issue, yes.
But it is not the root of the problem.
1 - They said open beta soon. They never mentioned before that there would be a pay-to-play-beta. This kind of lack of information and sincerity with the community is a huge failure to a lot of people. I respect if you don’t feel the same way.
2 - That is obvius, don’t get me for a fool. But I tell you, the way they did it, they upset a big number of potential players.
3 - How can you be so sure?

Guys, I KNOW you are happy. You are the ones IMC is interested in.
The ones they can take money from.
That does not mean I get to be less an important customer, or person.
Take your arrogance and swallow it up.

Eh, I just got home and saw all of this and what not.
I can’t say I care about founder’s packs being a thing, but uh, three months early access is certainly quite large.
No matter, I don’t have the spare coin to drop at the moment anyway. Think I’ll let all this hustle and bustle die down before I give it a go >3>
you know what will be very very fun… the day when the founder server is 3 months to be closed and IMC post a nice image with cute characters saying that they will charge $$ for the character transfer to the ‘‘free server’’ will be epic.
the problem is not the $$, is the lack of common sense and information… what will happen AFTER… how many servers? … wipe or not wipe… why you giving TPs in exchange for money if it is a BETA… it is obvious that this isent a early Beta, it is a Game READY Early access with TP market ready… if the 19 is the game open (sure sure beta bla bla… TOSKorea dunt exist… XD) the game will be way unbalanced if they allow founders and new players play along… just think about guilds… isent guild master class an upper circle job? 3 month of advantage in guilds and market is way to much… so if founder server is keep separated… who are they gona play with after 3 or 6 months? XD…
i can pay the 50s… and i actually want to… but with no information? to me money and time has value, but right now invest 50$ and time without a clear future seems dangerouse…

he only real advantages I see early access people having are knownledge and if youre an alchemist. Theres no guild war or something like that so making a guild early wont be unbalance, the higher level are like starting to play a mm that noone knows and suddenly became famous, its nothing big.
the knownledge will give a huge advantage, but itll only be a “broken” advantage for circle 2 alchemists and people that re friends with them. Magnum opus works, but people keep the way to make items with it as a secret, if anyone knew how to make the “unique” gear and how to give properties to gear all alchemists would lose money and importance because anyone could create a secondary alchemist just for the gear.
Thats why the koreans keep the magnum opus recipes as secrets and thats why I keep the ones I know as a secret, I love playing crafters and my main on ragnarok used to be a master blacksmith untill the started to spam expansions with better gear and let the blacksmith with only the was great but now sucks gear.
Well, that’s it, no more waiting this game for me and my friends and i’m sure we wont be alone on this, IMC did all wrong with this game from the beginning, they used the RO name to atract people, then they say it was a complete different game, then using open beta soon to change it with pay for open beta. It’s all a marketing bullshit, you can see the money sign in their eyes. In 3 month this game will be dead. have a nice day

Why are you calling him/her a kid? I’m example a 30y old guy here, wanted to feel the chill again what Ragnarok gave me. All of my friends are around that age. I admit, we are from a “poor” country where we really don’t want to spend 50$ for a game which is only in beta.
However if a game and a developer deserves our support, we don’t mind. Another example is my LoL account. You can check out my LoL account on elophant for example. It wasn’t updated for 2 years and I had 100-120 skin there. That’s not a small amount of money, but I’m supporting Riot, even if they are not the best company out there, they are not that bad.
What’s the problem then?
That I don’t want to play with you but with my friends. I mean, i’m not against to get to know new people, but I want to go and explore with my buddies.
Why not just play in june then?
Well, of course because this whole thing gives me a bad feeling. I feel that these developers already gave up on this, they don’t trust in it’s success, they just want the money as soon as possible.
There is always a reason behind that much greed. Anybody could tell you that. Look, the announcement picture already has spelling error on the picture, spelled accessory uncorrectly.
Honestly, they should just drop the price to 15-20$, and give a 3-day headstart maximum. Everyone does that!
So ask yourself, why IMC doesn’t want to use that model? Why are they so greedy and why do they want to bait you with the 3 month early?
Marketing: Let them feel VIP/SPECIAL/CHOOSEN ONES
If a game will fail in long term, you have to milk the cow as fast as you can. However, if you know that game will fail, you will have to think about something, something that will make money.
Would you pay for a game to get 3 day headstart and coins? Well…maybe…just maybe. You wont pay 50$ but 15 - 20$, well… maybe.
That wouldn’t be enough to get the money out of their game, which costed so much, but failed in Korea. What to do know?
Give a nice name to the campaing and let’s give it away as FOUNDERS. How is that sounds? Great, yeah? Ok, now add a huge advantage to this, like 3 month early, the cream of the community, true saviors.
From your words, they could manipulate and coordinate you as they wanted. You didn’t even pay yet, but you are feeling so special and high and mighty. You think that you deserve a place higher than anybody, that you are a founder.

If they would trully mean that you guys are special and so on, what do you think? Wouldn’t they just do the same thing in Korea? They would do it. However it was the main market for the game, and they tried. They know it…if something fails even there, they wont make any money from it here.

It’s like a real-life simulation of PvP in ToS. Getting prepared and stuff.
I’m not a native english speaker either, but I try my best. I just hope that IMC wont ignore the community anymore.
Honestly, I would pay 20$ for a 3-day headstart, knowing that my friends could join me after that. If IMC is not sure about this game, I would even donate that 20$ for nothing to them.
This sounds a little amount, but I wouldn’t buy anything for that but their hope, that they could actually make money on longer term, just because some people can play together.
So if IMC ever shows up here, just so they know my 20$ is here to prove that you guys could do this without scamming. I think many of us would help you guys out with money, just so we can play with friends and players who can’t afford to support you guys.
Also to the so called “FOUNDERS”
Guys , shame on you. If you have money and you know that others don’t, never stomp them. That’s what makes a community horrible. Being a jerk is totally ok ingame, and PK the weak and stomp others with your characters, but we are talking about people here.
Do not forget, these guys are the ones you wanted to play with just not long ago, and now they are the evil ones, cause they have no money?
So, just offer 20$ like me for nothing to IMC. Prove that you are not paying for advantage but for supporting the devs.
However, this support only lives, if IMC change his mind, and let everyone take a piece from the cake. Let’s say. If 100-200 player would offer this 20$… Would be nice…

I played the closed beta and After a week i stop playing. This game is such a trash. I just want to look what they changed in the Open Beta.
You all think this Game is good but if you ever played a mmorpg you will see what i mean.

50$ For founder pack might be alot for a game that needs to be polished, but i don’t think its too bad with the 600 tp, granted we get similar shop as KR has.
They should’ve released a different founders pack with early access without the extra tp/hats for a smaller price.
What i do think is wrong is that 3 months is way too long, ESPECIALLY after they have said “obt is coming soon”.
I’m possitive there would be atleast less rage, if they simply just announced the founders pack deal BEFORE promising
“obt is coming soon”
But… Im not looking for power, i just want the hats and costumes and to play the game…
Im atually going for a full crafting alchemist, i need time to try to find hwo magnum opus works and craft fun stuff…
