As you may already know for my previous post Swordman is an unknown class to me but my friend asked (again) if this will be a good Tank (how I am suppouse to know that) so I look a bit and found some advices about how to build it but I am not really sure if I did a good job, can you please check (correct is probably a better word in this case) this build:

Heres a hint you see the icons that show up with a picture and a blue/green/red/golden background.
Blue = tanks
Green = support
Red = dps
Gold = utility
I would avoid being a fencer if your a tank they are more reliant on doing high dps with other class ability’s you could be hampering there ability.
Peltasta and Rodelero and I would say throw in for dps but these class also help for tanking and that is Hoplite and Cataphract as the tank classis can benefit there dps.
The reason is because one hand spears with shields benefitted by all classis mentioned and cataphract gives you the ability to mount up.
Also for teir 7 you could go Shinobi and make clones of yourself picture a group of mounted spearmen charging into the enemy then call yourself DOOMRIDER !!!
I don’t recommend going for a full tank class since leveling will be quite a pain until dungeon runs. Peltasta 2 is great for full on blocking, especially with stone skin from a priest class but I’m not confident that Rodelero can increase your tankiness further. It offers CC but not by a lot. Remove Rodelero and go Cataphract. The bonus hp and defense from the mount is priceless in the long run.
Sword > Pelt > Pelt > Cata > Cata > Cata > ??? (Maybe dragoon?)
yeah dragoon would be benefited as it will be using spears in the build.
You have two core options asterozoa build or this one
Sword > Pelt > Pelt > Hoplite > Hoplite > Hoplite > dragoon (use this one if your not a fan of mounts)
Basically what we are saying is go shield and spear
Thanks for your time and concerns about the build, but I already have a threat where Hopelite and Cataphract were discussed with pros and cons; right now I am looking for help with this specific build, but thanks for your sugestions, I really appreciate it.
I planned to do this build (It’s a bit of a tossup between Hoplite for me)
Notes on Skills:
I took 0 in Gung-ho since you can’t use it with Guardian.
Shield Charge seems kind of bad, only one point in slithering and shield bash for buff/debuff.
Lot’s of points in Shield shoving because it’s a good DPS skill. (Low cooldown and overheat)
Max montano because you get Lunge in Fencer tree, which increases (doubles?) slash damage.
Attaque Coquille has 100% uptime at level 4, no reason not to get it.
Max lunge and Esquive Toucher because your going to be using them every chance you get as a tank.
Preparation is self explanatory.
1 point in Flanconnade to use when everything is on cooldown.
For stats 3/3/1 CON/DEX/STR.
Prioritizes defensive stats (Obviously) with a bit of STR for Crit. Att. mostly.

First I have to say, Rodelero is NOT a tank. Yes he has a blue icon, but all his skills (except slithering, maybe) cries CROWD CONTROL, not TANK.
If you want a tank, just go for Peltasta, that’s the only tank class in game.
