A 'better' party finder

The one currently in game sucks. Actually most party chat, party invites, friends list features are completely bugged at the moment. So ya.

Having a “lfg” party finder system which has become the staple of games now is kinda mandatory. You have all sorts of people in different channels/servers needing to do specific boss fights or grinding in certain maps. I would highly recommend taking the time to enhance the party finder especially where dungeons are concerned.

Its bad enough that everyone is just afk outside of the dungeon and that half the time the dungeons don’t even work or let you in.

Especially because the game is all about party play in just about everything.

I think the party finder needs to be revamped. To find parties related to your quest you are doing. So ie, like a server wide search for someone doing the same quest and allowing people to join and move to those servers, like final fantasy. Pretty much right now, the party system is like not having a party system at all. You have to search by location and is party is not necessarily related to your quest.

^ All of this.

In a game that is so party oriented you would think they would make it easy to join groups and get together to farm, quest, do dungeons.

I’m sincerely hoping that this gets revamped by the time the game goes live. :<

Zone/Map specific parties - So you can request for invites or create parties and list them for grind or quest within a particular map.

Right now i think its best to just wait until the bugs are fixed then see how it works.

But honestly I think they need a system that just queues in people that are close level and quest completion.

The current one shows usually parties that are all offline, which you cant join on it.
Also, on the left of the screen a bunch of parties show up if youre not in a party.

I don’t think a game should badger you about parties constantly, especially when someone “similar to your level” is around you and you get notifications constantly.

The LFG text above your head tho works fine, I think they should just make a channel for parties.

Shout, Party, Trade, Say, Guild, Private messaging and system.

Finding parties should be up to the player to do. Not an automated system.
A party finder just turns players into faceless NPCs that have been thrown together. You could be 5 mins into a boss battle and ask for a heal and get “oi BR?” followed by a log out.

They should also add a function that would allow you to search for respective level ranges as well. These party bugs needs to be fixed asap. Leveling on a support class is very slow now.

No ones going to sit and for LFG for 10 years looking for a group. Time to come to the new age like FFXIV does, minus their cross-servers, and hell, I even welcome that. Regardless of the trolls you meet and crap, at least I get to play the game and not wait forever to form a party.

Personally I’d like the ‘nearby party’ popup you get on the left side of the screen to get some functionality.
If the party is looking for people grinding nearby, or is questing, why not let people request to join a party directly by clicking on something on that popup menu.

Every time i see that pop up I’m expecting some sort of functionality, but it’s just for info atm.

This! We need this so bad. It is so difficult to party up with random players.
