Found a new one! i still see several that i reported, Snowdance (Ringtone) is still at it!!!

Based on your report, we will look into the user’s activity and if the user is indeed a bot, we will take the necessary measure against the user.

Thank you.

Shes still there! after the 24hr maintenece, quickly approaching the #1 spot for most Siaulamb Warriors botted! way to go China!

Update 05/04/2016! Snowdance Ringtone is back at it again with her friend Treu Gribaru that i reported 3 days ago.

She is also sooo close to the #1 spot of most Siaulamb Warriors botted! I will keep you guys updated! This is very exciting!! It also appears momohime Yoyo who i also reported 3 days ago is right on her tail!

Update! 05/05/2016

Snowdance Ringtone has now taken the #1 spot for most Siaulamb Warrior’s botted!!!

Momohime Yoyo is almost to 50 thousand botted herself, great job girls, keep up the great work!

maybe one day they will get banned along with all of the other obvious bots i have reported, but i doubt it.

Update 05/06/2016

Still going strong! Ringtone hit 60k!

I believe the issue here comes from the fact that many characters reported as bots aren’t actually bots; there is a high likelihood that these are actual humans farming select spots–something that isn’t against the terms of service. Even if these characters are on for twenty-four hours a day killing mobs, that doesn’t mean they’re bots either. The people who play these characters rotate in shifts. However, it is safe to assume that the majority of these farming individuals are working for currency sellers, but nothing can be done until they’re caught breaking the ToS.

I’m unsure how efficacious it is to report these people as bots at the moment but, in the best-case scenario, I imagine these individuals’ trade logs could be monitored over a period of time in an attempt to follow the currency trail. This could potentially result in multiple accounts being banned at the same time.

I’m glad that the player community feels so strongly about this issue, and I’ve observed that the actual bots get banned very quickly, but I understand your concern with reporting so many players without seeing any result.

no, these are 100% bots, i farmed here for hours observing them, just hang out at that zone for a couple minutes and find them, they are bots.

I guess what I mean to say is that there are five types of players in this game at the moment: currency farmers, afk farmers, currency spammers, botters, and actual players.

Currency farmers and botters are difficult to distinguish from one another because currency farmers are essentially human bots. These individuals are likely paid $10-20 per week to farm currency (many of these people reside in China). They won’t respond to anyone and they’ll likely always roll a priest class so they can just auto-attack while being buffed. Bots on the other hand can function in multiple ways: there are bots that follow predetermined routes (I literally mean an unchanging route or circle path), and there are some that are primitive and repeat certain directional movements within a small area (bridging the gap between afk farmers and botters).

I’ve seen many priests with the same equipment on the same maps that only auto-attack and buff themselves for several hours at a time, but most of them are not bots. I’ve also encountered actual bots that were also priests that followed a set path (not randomly wandering a map). The players I’ve reported of the latter type have always shown up in the daily banned threads.

If you don’t mind me asking, what behavior have you observed in these players that sets them apart from the definition of currency farmer I mentioned above? I’m not saying I don’t believe you, but there is a reason that IMC cannot ban certain “suspicious” accounts, and the fact that these players haven’t been banned yet leads me to believe that they’re likely people providing cheap labor to currency sellers.

Besides all having the same gear, the same exact build, and have only the 1 achievement from killing monsters, they constantly get stuck on fences and only go after 1 monster at a time.

I have KS’d them Constantly, following them for 5 minutes and attacking what they are attacking and making sure they get no loot and they keep on going about their business like nothing happened. once you spot a bot, they all act the same way and they are incredibly easy to spot. and if there is one of those stamina shrine things they will run out of their way and hit it like a monster when there is no point in attacking it.

They are also incredibly inefficient, move around sporadically and often skip monsters for no reason at all. If china was employing these people to play the game to farm silver, how they are farming would get them fired. :stuck_out_tongue:

I feel like IMC might need some paid/un-paid(user) bot hunters or some such. This ■■■■ shouldn’t be happening unresolved in 2016.
