If you stop at stage 4, you should keep weapon
Stage 4 with 2 socket gem, you will get around 20 gem (I think so).

EDIT: WAIT… 20 crafted germ? if its 20 crafted weapom gem its nice…i thinking its very low than this…i will trans my armor and bracelets now. if i go to more its better destroy the weap 
or… lets see if IMC will able trade for trans itens

In my server (Telsiai), +10 auf bow (full pot like yours) is worth more than 20 blessed gem weapon.
I’m waiting for tradeable transenced eq. too
