He sure taking a good care of his bots, even spending money to buy them cash shop costumes XD
They are STILL there?? I reported them 5 days ago…
Edit: Only in game though, maybe I should’ve made a post.
Well, some people use bots in their main accounts in hope that they dont get banned.
…
Well, I hope IMC has something in store for them.
Dat adventure index… they are bots for sure.
Its not even funny anymore. I cant even imagine what gona happen march 10.
actualy im think that bots are banned already … GM answer @ this post several days ago.
I took the screenshot just yesterday…so they weren’t banned then.
And there’s no doubt about it that they are bots so I don’t know what takes the GMs so long to get rid of them.
im give link to another topic created 6days ago , about this bots…
still there…that’s rather disappointing, IMC
you guys might wanna stock up on GMs and everything…i mean it’s obvious those are bots. why does it take so long?
It takes so long because most of these individuals reported as bots are actually currency farmers. The only true way to identify an actual bot from a farmer is if they follow a specific predetermined route. A player’s equipment and adventure index is not enough evidence to discern a farmer from a bot. Farming is not against the terms of service, but the purpose they’re farming for is–supplying currency sellers. However, no actions can be taken until they’re caught in the act. Also, even if they’re on for twenty-four hours a day, that still isn’t evidence of being a bot. These players rotate in shifts on a single character.
As you’ve already done, reporting these individuals is the best action that can be taken at the moment. Until they’re caught making a “drop” to a client, no action can be taken to ban them. However, when they’re caught in the act, a minimum of two accounts will be banned.
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
Well we can also just wait…because the bots on the map doubled.
With f2p around the corner what could possibly go wrong by ignoring the fact that the map has more bots than actual human players on it? I’m sure that will be fine…
I’m curious to see how f2p will go, as well.
You’ve done the right thing by reporting them; I was just making a slight clarification on the matter in my previous post in regard to the slow response time of these reported players. Some bots are caught quickly (the ones that obviously have third party applications running in the background), and for the others, they have to be thoroughly monitored to ensure they aren’t actual people farming (and that includes Chinese currency farmers). From IMC’s point of view, the worst-case scenario would be the accidental banning of a player. I also understand what you’re getting at: “These can’t possibly be people playing” and “they’re killing the game.”
Either way, there’s too much of a financial investment in this project for IMC to fail at pulling through on this issue. Implementing changes at this stage of the game would be pointless since f2p is around the corner. Once f2p hits, the botters/farmers/sellers will change their tactics (they won’t need to buy founder’s packs anymore). So, that would be the ideal time to implement changes. It is likely that IMC already has a response plan in the works–this is likely the reason for the launch delay.
There are a lot of assumptions in my post, but I believe there is some sound reasoning behind these assumptions.
Just looked into the news about the bots banned on May 8th…
None of the (by now 9) bots from the map are on the list.
Way to go, IMC! Maybe they’re the first bots to make it to level 200?
Just pretend they aren’t there!
flower costumes cant be bots. really?!
I share your pain my friend. Even on Telsiai where the server is supposedly “closed off”, there are bots on every map and every channel. Many old bots are still around despite people reporting them.
