2x 330 Clerics, what do?

I have 2 completely reset Clerics at level 330.

I also have one Cleric3>Sadhu3>PD2 and one Cleric2>Priest3>Pardoner2>Inquisitor1.

I really have no idea what to do with these clerics, other then delete them and make something else… Anyone have any ideas? :pouting_cat: Besides Genderbender and Barrier scroll maker? :x

Been pondering for a while to make a Bokor of some sort for the upcoming summoner buff that has yet to come. But… Blah.

Please help, out of ideas.

Monk is a lot of fun now if you care for melee at all and chaplain is doing very well. I would actually recommend making a scroll seller though. I play on Orsha and there are no arcane energy scrolls on sale at all. Since monk gained in popularity and krivis has dropped in popularity, arcane energy and daino scrolls should sell well even if there are plenty available. At the very least, you can save yourself money on daino scrolls. Since you have them at 330 already, you could go c2/k2/pard1/oracle3 and have a scroll maker/gender change shop in the one character. It won’t be good for anything else really, but it’s useful to have around. If you don’t like melee though, monk probably won’t be for you. if you want to give it a try though, there are several builds available. it’s hard to go wrong with c2/?/?/monk3/inq. You can fill in the 2 missing ranks with whatever you want really. Some people take a third circle of cleric, some people like priest 1 or 2 for support, and some like diev for different support. There is even a bokor/monk build that has a following right now.

Cheers, I’ma read more in-depth in the morning, it’s sleep time now.

If you want to discover Monks, you have few things you can do:

cleric3-diev1-monk3-inquisitor
cleric2-priest1-diev1-monk3-inquisitor
cleric2-priest2-monk3-inquisitor
cleric2-diev2-monk3-inquisitor.

I am doing a leveling experiment at the moment with cleric2-bokor2-monk3-pd1. so far it has been super fun (level 245 right now)

I have tested most all builds with monk3 and monk2 during reset event, and what I offered above all works ok. depends on what you like more, really. if you have monk q feel free to ask. also read up on those monk threads if you have qeustions on stats

Looking at the scroll prices and the amount selling them, a scroll seller wouldn’t be profitable unfortunately.

@Kostik
Also, I’ve had my fill of Monks to be honest, I had 2 Monks before when they buffed them, and tried them after the combat changes and… They seem a bit lackluster from the lack of AoE. Breaking wheel sort of bandaids this, but the cooldown is a bit of a killer unless you use Diev’s -20% cooldown. It also kinda pales in comparison to Sadhu/PD.

I am thinking of builds surrounding Bokor or Paladin. Paladin for the barrier and using it on defensive instances, and Bokor for the upcoming summon changes. Monk/Bokor I can see a good synergy with Golden Bell and Mackangdal, but I don’t see how it’ll help overall.

May be something with Taoist when Yellow Papers aren’t so stupidly expensive.

Thanks for the input though, it’s really appreciated. :smiley_cat:

Before the combat update I played a palaquisitor. I only switched because I ended up playing solo a lot more than I had thought I would so the better sustained dps on monk is great. I was running cleric2/priest1/paladin3/pd1/inq before I switched and I still think that’s a decent paladin build. Barrier scrolls are next to useless since the update so you would be in greater demand as a paladin with a real barrier now.

If you don’t need resurrection, you can take something else in place of the priest circle and the PD circle is up for a change too since mobs don’t murder you so badly in rank 8 maps now. Most of your damage on paladin comes from inquisitor although conviction and smite are fairly decent. Something like C2/Diev2/Paladin3/Inquisitor would probably be pretty nice now really. I would recommend putting points into carve so you have another attack to use though. The burst from Wheel>>Conviction>>God Smash x3>>Smitex2 is surprisingly good and allows you plenty of time to support your party in between but it’s pretty lackluster for solo play.

Pretty much this, dont be fooled by those who suggest you to go that route, the amoun of money that you get back dont justify the character slot, cleric branch scrolls are not profitable atm, better make a class that you can actually use at some point.

I’m actually thinking of something like:

Cleric2>Diev1>Paladin3>Miko>Inquisitor

Miko instead of Monk1 for Double Punch, Gohei could fill that spot. Hamaya would be a nice little AoE to also have. Kagura just for support.

queue saalus as lv330 cleric c1

Haha, could you imagine peoples’ reactions to you putting down lvl1 heal as a class lvl1 Cleric C1 at 330? XD

“Heal pls”

Cast level 1 Heal

“…”

Even though it looks like a melee skill, gohei actually scales off of your magic attack.

Oh yeah I know that. That’s why I’m looking for Atk/MAtk headgears and am using a mace. Going to look at balancing between Str and Int too. Since Physical on a Cleric by itself without some magic is pretty lackluster. :x

What’s wrong with those 2 chars? Seems like you don’t like magical dps (PD), physical dps (monk, inq), support (priest), shop (pard). Maybe only choice left in my mind is bokor3-druid3, how do you feel about that?

I think you read me wrong, I have 2 clerics that are 330, one Sadho/PD, the other a buff seller. I have 2 more Clerics that are 330 that are fully reset. XD

Oh sorry, my eyes skipped “also” word. Still suggest bokor3-druid3 though. Nice aoe dps, only weakness is flying mobs.

Taoist is kind of bad IMO, storm calling potential hindered by zaibug (zaibas bug), creeping charm cost too much for so-so damage, dark sight hardly useful outside ET, only safisfying skills are tri-disaster > begone. Maybe because I lean toward dps but that’s it.

I did try (Bokor/Druid) during the reset event, but I found the damage from Werewolf wasn’t that good, it also required Str stat for accuracy, and will require a lot of Spr after the summoner patch to be useful. It’s still interesting, but I’ll wait till the patch comes before considering. :smile_cat:

Taoist isn’t that bad, need to wait till the costs are lowered like on KToS before they’re even worth considering.

Sorry for not mentioning, I go full int/magic so I abandon zombie damage and lycan form. Main damage are from damballa, carnivory and transforming Tala wizard form’s hamaya-like skill. Lycan sp drain also make it too hard to maintain even anti-knockdown is very useful. Its damage is indeed low.

And yes taoist is viable if talisman costs are cheaper and zaibas bug fixed.

Oh? I never tried Krivis/Taoist build after combat changes. There’s a bug with their synergy?

Zaibas itself doesn’t do damage even if there are mobs in skill aoe, mostly attack lately after casted. This happens frequently. So storm calling duration expires before zaibas actually deals damage.

sadly… krivis is bugged
