I was originally going to go 1h/dragoon but recently discovered the power of 2h, so I was going to switch it up a bit, my only concern is that I went C1Pelt as my 2nd job… I feel like having Pelt when going 2h is kind of a waste since I can’t use provoke with it or if I have a second setup it cancels provoke when i swap to my 2h… my question is, I’m level 76/13 about to become C1 Cata… Should I just re-roll and go C2 Swordie? Or should I just keep C1 Pelt?
Keep Pelt C1. There’s no use for Swordsman C2 right now.

Listen, first… provoke is not canceled when you swap to 2handed.
only the health buff which is not so important while not tanking. and while tanking, shield is the better option anyway.
taking peltasta have too much advantage to give up be it both pvp and pve…
I fully doing the tank role for my group with just pelt1, everyone are happy with the way thing goes in dungeon and bossing.
for grinding shield+spear and taunt, swap to 2handed, and burst them down.
for bossing with group, taunt + provocation with shield up all time, in between boss attack you semi-dps. and while you have ‘Pain Barrier’ up, you can dish out all your dmging skills, and reapply buffs.
and ofcousse when everything under control, there is no need for shield + 1handed as it’s inferior with dmg.

Exactly, 1h and shield are inferior, that’s why taking peltasta is a waste.
If one is intending to be a pure dps, then swordman is a much better choice.
Damage buffs and restrain are much better than two weak skills, provoke or a weak def. buff. Longer pain barrier can also be useful. And you don’t need a secondary weapon, which I also think is a bonus.
Pure dps - Peltasta useless
Off tank - Peltasta a must.
I also suggest to get c1 hoplite for Stabbing (amazing skill) and Finestra (increases crit chance + aoe radius by 3)
