24H Lootbox(Free Item) or Monthly Login Event

In other mmo you can get a daily free item if you open the Loot Box. Wouldnt it be fair to make this in ToS too? or a Monthly Login Event Like; 1 Day : 10G , , , , .- . . . . … . 30 Day : Perm Item or something. Because player which started Tree of Savior new, could have a little support, not much but a support. Maybe, when Tree of Savior is coming out (OBT) we can buy maybe a package on Steam to get this and this Item, but where would be again to discuss the topic again “What is Pay2Win” for you? You can get this Item if you buy Real Ingame Money. So what do you think about the FREE Lootbox/Login Event?

I agree, something like a daily login bonus, and if you login X amount of days you get some bonus stuff.

I’ve been playing a lot of games like this these days, and I like logging into those games and enjoying them a little each day, at the very least for the rewards.

It’s a thing to make players log-in daily, and I personally find this system rather okay.Yet I like my freedom to log in whenever I feel like without having the pressure of “Oh my god I didn’t log in today, I lost my 10 days streak!”(frustrating I know) this system is not the hardest on the player and thats a good thing :3

It is better than making me play 2 hours to do a daily quest that gives the same reward (WoW, why u do this)

Yeah the whole log-in streak thingy feels quite treacherous. Only recently in War Thunder they changed their system so if you miss a day now the increasing rewards are reset :broken_heart: Before it didn’t matter when you logged in, your daily reward progress was still there so it only took you longer to get to the bigger rewards if you missed a day.

I understand it makes sense because you force players to log-in, but sincerely before the change I made sure to log-in often, now I get my progress reset but don’t really bother anymore.

Other than that, I’m all for a daily log-in reward system!

I would also like them to add probably a 50% bonus exp buff for 30 mins daily when you log in that accumulate probably 3 days tops (for 1 1/2 of exp boost) so you can catch up when you haven’t log in for a while.

“Congratulations! You have logged in today!” Yeah I don’t like those at all, it’s like giving praise to a child for every stupid thing they do.

Oh hey it fits you people perfectly.

@rhedewayhke Slightly off topic, red from AK? :sunny:

On the contrary, it rather fits you. We are trying to have a good discussion going here, why I don’t mind the disagreement with a few people such as yourself, the fact that you have to throw an insult somewhere there shows your lack of impulse control, which is childish in a sense that fits you perfectly.

Only if it is like GW2 login reward, not tied to real days and no “reset” if you skip a day.

It’s exactly what you people are talking about, the whole “something for nothing” thing made horribly popular from terrible browser and mobile games, you know, sparkly, shiny positive reinforcement for the tiniest, simplest thing.

And yes, yes I am.

TBH I prefer rest exp over that daily login rewards unless its very rewarding that you cant get it on game unless you use IRL money.

I wouldn’t mind if they added a daily quest system similar to Hearthstone, where you can have up to 3 daily quests at once so you don’t feel forced to login everyday. It works for the people who can play everyday, and also for the people who only get to play once every few days. But getting free crap just for logging in, and then getting even more free crap for login streaks? Do not want!

I kind of agree with @rhedewayhke on this. Rewarding people simply for logging in (or punishing people for not logging in) seems rather pointless. I do not want to feel obligated to log into the game just to get a daily reward on a day when I am too busy to actually play it.

I would argue against a simple “sign in to get X” mechanic.

MMORPGs are inherently tedious and monotonous - good ones strive to bring in variety (or hide that fact, though that is not good). Introducing a mechanic that quite literally rewards you for the same trivial action only achieves in making you feel like you’re missing out by not logging in. It gets the desired response (player signing in) but is a petty approach in doing so.

The game should be good, and you should sign in because the game is good - not because of a reward. And on that note, I’d rather the developers spend time building enjoyable rewards that will make the game as a whole good.

To make my post more constructive, consider the following reward(s) and a general idea of the mechanic that drives them:

  • A random set of challenges/events assigned to each person every day, which are “overwritten” the same day next week.
  • You have 7 days to complete a particular challenge. If today is Monday, I have until next Monday to complete the challenge that was assigned today.

Now here is the hard part - making genuinely interesting challenges. I don’t claim the bullets below to be genuinely interesting :x

  • Randomly selected field boss must be found and hunted down. (difficulty scaling for # of people engaged)
  • Randomly selected dungeon must be completed.
  • Randomly selected event must be completed (am hoping they add in events, like an NPC invasion event where towns are attacked etc)
  • Help me out here, I’m not very imaginative… I’m trying to avoid requirements that alienate people (like complete X dungeon without clerics - sure it might be challenging but its exclusive)

It doesn’t have to be valuable that warrants the days you can’t log in.
A simple 10x potion, 1 exp card, or some cheap materials will do.
It’s not about being a spoiled kid, it’s about IMC’s little token of gift for logging in and playing the game when you can be doing something else.

Psychologically speaking, this will make players more inclined to play and more people is more fun right?

You deserve nothing for just logging in.

I do, because I am using my time to play, and time is something that most people don’t have the luxury of specially like me who studies, work, and has a relationship. (unlike fatty losers like you)

Plus, trust me, they would put it in, just like almost all the MMOs out there. You can bookmark and screenshot this message so you can remind yourself how some random internet tough guy proved you wrong.

You are getting a game for free, any time you put into it is your choice, I repeat, you do not deserve anything for just logging in.

This is not necessary and would make this game look cheap (to me). Log in chests givaway seems to be game publishers way of saying "oh, well, lets give the poor peasants that don’t pay for things with real money have something so they don’t complain about game being P2W.

Perm Item, 10G or any cash shop items as rewards for just logging in sounds a bit nonsense to me. Sure people do love rewards but giving a lot would actually kill the game and the market eventually. However, if you suggest items such as maybe potions or any other low grade item, that would be reasonable as you just simply logs in. It’s a none to little rewards since so there’s not much effort to give.
