That entirely depends on what “issues” you had with the game when you quit, frankly. Things have changed, some things haven’t; bugs have been fixed and more bugs have surfaced. iirc I was surprised to see the new account event didn't include inactive accounts, rip ~45k previous players But it’s gotten better on a slow linear scale.
But what didn’t you like about it? The bugs? The repetitive nature of the game? The need for gimmicks such as tokens and other things? There’s no answering “is it worth” because “Worth” is a personal question on what you want out of this game versus something else like Final Fantasy and Relevations or even Lost Ark when it comes out for my grandchildren.
And honestly the forums nowadays have devolved into a salt den. There’s truths in these gold mines, but verbatim is usually exaggerated to discourage people; so take it with some grains of salt.
I will say this: They’re actually paying attention to the game to actually try and make it healthier. But talk is all talk, and action will give actual meaning. ToS isn’t special and hasn’t gotten any bit special and can now be called “a typical MMO experience”, but it’s a charming one to say the least.
So the worth is entirely on you.
Did you see the Level Up event that’s been running for the past few weeks? If not it’s a shame, that event was perfect for returnees. If you’ve been following all the news like you said then may I ask why you didn’t return during that event?
Either way, at this point I agree with what people said here, create a new account and enjoy. There’s also the Donnes’ Wanted List event running at the same time which speeds up leveling even further. You’ll level up much faster than you ever imagined and although the game gets a little boring once you approach the current end game, the journey getting there is quite enjoyable so it’s definitely worth a shot. Even though ToS is still far from perfect, I can assure you it’s a hell of a lot better than when you last played.
I didn’t join the Level Up Event because I already have a high level character before I quit, a Lv250+ Scout C3.
I really do not want to create a new account because like I mentioned, my account is a founder and I have alot of stuff there like exp tomes, stat reset potion, costumes, etc.

Still the game you hate. It’s better not to comeback as it will lead to more frustrations. Some of the things you addressed were fixed or improved and the other half were still there. Update some, broke some, continuous cycle until youre going to leave again. To save you the trouble and time, play other game. If you like TOS given its shortcomings then why not.
i am surprised almost no one who replies this thread recognized you as a veteran and the author of iDreamy’s scout3 guide. I have and still play your build lv323 as my main char atm, loving every second playing it. IIRC your final nail to the coffin is you accidentally sold your +8 khasti bow with 2x 5*green gem to NPC, right? well, right now that lost is nothing compared to some lv 317+people who got their mystical cube expired.
Many things have changed, make a lv 5 gem right now is just 1click away of lv2 gem abrasive.

Yes, and luckily, my quitting means = I never touched the game so the bow was still on the buyback list up until when I came back abit on R8 release. I bought the bow back and tried questing abit just to get 3-shotted again on higher level content which made me upset because the damage calculation is still using atk-def though I saw that recently released video where they are gonna change it now and become % based reduction which is really nice, just like how other successful games do it.
I do want to go back because the game really reminds me of Legend of Mana, even though I loved Ragnarok, I loved Legend of Mana much more.
Just gonna say this early though before any disappointment, I’m planning to play a melee IF ever I do come back. I was avoiding melee before because of the atk-def damage calculation but with % based damage reduction coming, I wanna try out melee. But hey, Hackapell and Rogue are mostly melees, who knows.
Lastly, thanks for always being an enthusiast of my Scout C3 build. bows

As for the topic itself, honestly, there’s no better way to answer your question, Dream (I love your scout build, by the way!), than to try it out yourself. I’d probably do the same but tbh, I’m enjoying my time with other games more that ToS currently isn’t interesting enough to come back to. For me, at least.
no dreamy, as 1 of the 1st people to take your scout to cap back in may of last year and as someone who stuck around many months after you quit I can assure you that the game is just as, if not more unstable now then it was then and nothing has changed
priorty#1 is still and will always be the TP Shop
priorty#2 is repainting old costumes to put in gacha cubes
priorty#3 is creating another fan art event so IMC doesnt have to pay for advertising
priorty#4 is flagging and hiding anything I post within the 1st 3min of its creation

You don’t lose anything by coming back now but once the reworks come, maybe that’s a good time to come back. As for playing melee, you can try swordsman class. You played Katar in AK if I remember.
My Katar that can act as main tank on Lament~ Good old times! Surprised some people still know about that … that’s like so many years ago.
I’m really more interested on the rework for the damage calculation as it should also prevent the tanks from getting instagibbed by magic mobs. I will continue monitoring the updates and see how.
