Wiz>Pyro>Link path to Featherfoot help

Just some math I did last night because I was interested in Pyro Thaum:

P3TH3 Fireball with all buffs up and without natural INT or gear has an attack of (324+710) x 15 = 15510 per fireball. This isn’t counting Blessing nor Sacrament. Flame Ground, assuming it’s one hit per second, is (236+710) x 30 = 28380. Fire Pillar, assuming the same, is (262+710) x 17 = 16524

The last two are tricky because I don’t know the time between their ticks, but I’m quite certain it’s not more than a second, so the numbers are probably higher than that. This is assuming all skills are level 15. You could shave a point or two from each without losing much attack.

For reference, here’s p2th2
Fireball 713 x 10 = 7130
Flame Ground 650 x 25 = 16250
Fire Pillar = 640 x 12 = 7680

This means on ground mob, you can churn out a ridiculous amount of attack. Keep in mind the uncalculated gear and INT add up multiplicatively if my understanding of the games mechanics are correct. This build wouldn’t have much solo PvP application, but as later circles are released, it could be a great boss killer that also gives the entire team 304 attack to single/dual wielders, extra block to tanks, 565 attack to dual wielders, 710 attack to dual wielding spell casters, and 449 attack to staff or rod/shield casters

You won’t land all fireball hits unless it’s a boss fight and you know how to position it.

Flame Ground is good because it has 100% uptime, sort of small AoE and slow ticks when compared to Frost Cloud or skills of the same kind.

Fire Pillar is good in damage, but hard to land as it has small AoE and enemies have to be CC’ed.

Fire Wall at level 15 is good, has 12 hits and lands them VERY fast, multiply that with linker and you got pyro 3’s best skill for linker targets.

Just take Pyro 1 > Linker 3 > Necro 1, it will have better damage and Linker 3 is very good.

The one downside to fireball is that allies can move it, if this changes, Pyro group play drastically changes.

I’d opt for the first option. Either Pyro3>Linker2>FF or Pyro2>Linker3>FF not sure actually. Taking linker2 into linker3 sounds like a better long term plan than a third rank of pyro. Thaum’s costume is so sexy though.

HERE is a translation of the new kToS patch. Most importantly the Pyro buffs are

For most solo play pyro 2 dps is not enough unless you find another good dps source from other circle. seem to do ok because 197 lepusbunny has 45k hp 221 truffle has 86k hp but when go another 20 level monster has 130k hp.

Well this would be more supportive build. I’d say full support. And our goal is to make good DD mainly with pyro’s and FF’s skills with a bit of support cos we won’t outdamage other classes anyway.

Those “buffs” are patheric. Really.

actually i am WizPyroLinkerPyroLinker and like you guys i dont know well where im going
i can go for linker3 for 10 link on JP and the linker c3 skill “Lifeline” is so good (uses the highest abilities between you and allies linked by Spiritual Chain) means everybody in the party gonna have max con/str/int/spr/dex, its awesome right, then Spiritual chain share some good buffs like SURESPELL and QUICKCAST from any Elementalist in the party.
The pyro’s problem is that everyone can hit your fking fireball, also FG doesnt work so well with bosses that walks a lot and flying type monster, sounds like FG is so good early game and so bad late.
After ready all your replies i want to try max max fire wall instead FG

Link3 seems to be more “future proof” than Pyro3 for when you get rank 8 and 9 classes with high damage single target skillls to burst your 10/11 linked enemies. However at this current point in the game, you will only have the Pyro2 and whatever rank 7 dps skills you have for end game.

That said, if you think you are gonna have a regular party and like the buffs then going Link3 might be better. I’m mostly playing my Wiz solo (have a Cleric for partying) so I’ll be doing Pyro3>Link2>FF.

For the fireball problem you mentioned, well you are already a pyro2 so you should be used to having your fireball pushed around by now :laughing:

yea im kinda used to it but its still anoying as hell. Only fireball hits flying type and if someone just kick it away i cant do nothing with cooldowns…

you have a point! i am a solo player at most should go for pyro 3 for the dmg, guess 2 more links wont help me more than high pyro dmg.

Then a question about FF
tos base dont show exactly how the skills works but with some research i understand how its works ±
There is a skill called “bone pointing” that looks good, it summons a bone that shoot things its helpfull. Ngdahundi is high dmg and blood sucking and blood bath is kinda “core skill” what should i maxmize? how is the FF gameplay?

I have to look at more FF videos but I was thinking of maxing Blood Sucking and Blood Bath then 4pts on Ngdahundi because it seems like a good low CD burst damage that I can use with Joint Penalty and 1pt on Bone Pointing so I can at least level its attributes. Something like this

I have to see how Flame Ground holds up in the end. If it doesn’t do well then I will skill reset and get at least 14 Fire Wall instead by removing points on FG and EF. I’ve been able to use FG on flying enemies by making sure there is at least 1 ground enemy linked with JP. You just need to sort of control where the links go by choosing the right enemy to cast JP onto because that is where JP propagates from.


I hope this will answer your question. He is showing fire pillar damage and fire wall damage and at 2:28 flame ground damage. This skill sucks balls.

Nghadundi is terrible damage.
Pyro2 Linker3 FF is the best way out of these.

Hey guys, im doing a build like these, but i changed Pyro for Cryo cuz i wanna havê some CCs for PvP too… My build is actually Wiz>Cryo3>Link>X>FF, idk which class i choose in the place of “X”, can be a Psyco to combo with Cryo, or a Link2 for get more mobs linked or a Wiz2 to get Surespell? Someone can help me to get the right choise? Thanks!

I was wondering how do you find Pyro 2 and Linker 1 in your build? How useful Pyro 2’s skills at late game? Is W3 really essential for FF? (I was thinking to do Pyro 3 Linker 2 FF)

W3 is not. Surespell from W2 is essential for Blood Sucking. Without it, you either have to rely on sleep (that doesn’t affect flying monsters as I found out recently) or on someone else’s aggro. HK is unreliable, many late game monsters free from it immediately.
