Why do people hate gold buyer?

Is this a troll post? if not let me explain the damage it does do.

First of all economical unbalance I don’t mean by someone just obtaining a lot of gold its more they will spend it unconditionally and mess up the market rates basically supply and demand goes out of wack.

Second it clearly states in the rules its illegal to exchange real life money with in game money what your saying is that regardless of rules in the game you should be allowed to brake them if you personally don’t feel they do any damage…

Third selling drugs to a person is illegal and a living but it also causes people to be addictive and damage’s there health and others but hey they are just doing it for a living to feed their kids eh?

My advice is stop looking at things with a black/white viewpoint and try to do some research between the lines.

What should happen to gold buyers and why they ruin years of a developers hard work in a few weeks.

Game economy’s work much the same as real life versions…Creating the 1% and the inflated world and dwindeling middle class until there is only the have’s and the never will’s.

A permanent ban is exactly what should happen to gold buyers, the people who are buying the silver are the people that cause the gold farmers to flood the servers and not only DIRECTLY affect the performance of the game but also DIRECTLY affect the economy.

Mountains of silver being farmed by illegitimate players entering the economy and a bunch of basement dwellers buy it all up then wreck havok on the market place by:

Artificially increasing the minimum selling price for items (dilgele…)

Causing the price of top end recipes to sky rocket. Demand is far higher then supply.

Shutting out the legitimate players from both of these markets as now they will never reach those levels of silver to buy the items they wanted from playing the game normally nor can they sell their materials as gold buyers are screwing the markets min-max ratios…

I can give you a 101 on economics if you wish ?

Basicly in a nutshell, when piles of illigitimate silver is being funneled into players who purchase it with real money, this causes hyper inflation in the market.

Those silver buyers all want that shiny weapon worth 1million silver, so EVERYONE and their dog buys 1m silver because hey there is 1000 bots farming it and its only 50 cents right.

Now 1000 players bought 1 million silver and they ALL want that shiny weapon which there is only a few of because the drop rate is scarce. Now the people holding the shiny weapon realize that oh hey all of sudden so many people have the 1m silver for it and demand is WAY UP.

Shiny weapon is now 50million silver so alas those 1000 players go off and buy another 49million silver to get the shiny weapon… AD INFINIUM.

Now it is impossible for legitimate player a, b and c to ever get that shiny weapon through playing the game normally as the drop rates for silver in no way match the artificial price created by players buying piles of illegitimate silver…

Understand now why rmt is screwing you over even IF you participate in it…

Plot twist: You already do.

Keep your friends rich and your enemies rich…

The sheep goes: “Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah”

It’s their (the person buying the drugs) choice to go out and seek these commodities. No one, especially not the drug seller, forced them to buy and ingest said drugs. Your points are all pretty much invalid. You lack profoundness.

Okay, I will answer this with a serious response and show examples.

Gold Sellers actually contribute to hyperinflation and therefore throw the game economy into disarray. When the economy is in disarray, hard to get equipment gets more expensive because in-game currency devaluates. When this happens, the game becomes harder to get a traction on for new players, the publisher has to resort to a cash shop to make some money, and the game eventually becomes P2W. This is especially true for F2P games. Examples include Ragnarok Online, and…yea just Ragnarok Online.

Its simple to just imagine if a majority people of your country is filthy rich. Example: Greece

nice troll dude upvoted :ok_hand::thumbsup::poop:

B-But I was just citing an example! Or… a case.

If you actually played RO originally, then you would know they were actually a pay-to-play monthly sub required game, but also had a cash shop that provided quality of life/convenience products. It then became a ftp game SEVERAL years later due to the inability to justify charging a sub fee when they were falling behind in keeping up with modern mmos at the time like Aion and WoW: WoTLK.

Bragging right aside, I played that since Alpha, so I know. I meant it became what it is now due to poor mismanagement, bots, and goldsellers. The value of a zeny is a joke.

Worst excuse ever.

BAIT THREAD. Good try buddy.

Are you also mega sad when someone inherited some money and bought a better car?

The whole thread here is summed up by jealousy and witchunting.

Gold-sellers are simulating the playtime of a legitimate player. What gold-sellers generate in currency per day is nothing compared to the playerbase as a whole. You think there are bots generating upwards of 300k per hour ALONE? Heck some corsairs claim 600k per hour. That is where the inflation comes from and not from a couple of hundred bots per server farming silver at less than 100k/h.

Wanna know where inflation comes from? Ask the sorcs that make a million over night while they sleep via macros, the Z attackers, the active grinders going up and down the popular spot for hours on end. Every truffle party generates 800k per hour - okay split via 5 but still.

So if anything the inflation comes from lack of money sinks and the game has that.

Repairs are dirt cheap and attributes will be over after a while so when you’re done with your attributes how is your money decreasing by any significant margin? Can’t even properly trade via AH so even those lousy 10% aren’t cut for the rare case you would need something.

This is different. My point is if someone gets ahead of legitimate players through illegal means, then that is definitely sad. Inheriting some money and buying a better car is fine but it’s sad if the inherited money came from robbing a bank.

This is just an answer to the topic as to “why people hate gold buyers”.

why do people hate drug takers?
they did nothing wrong
They simple spend their hard earned money on something that they like
Plus they support the drug dealers, those people need to make a living so they can feed their kids.
I do not see any problem here.

So once again… Why?

why op didn’t learn econ 101?

Why is water wet? /20
