Where did all the clerics go?

Considering damage is king in this game, alot of people glance over Clerics and probably assume their potential is low.

I actually like Clerics and Swordies over Wizard and Archers. They are my niche in games. That said, this games prides damage over utility when it comes to parties, but prides utility over damage when grinding early. The mechanics on extra hits for instance can be abused on multiple fonts instead of just adding more damage itself.

Alot of people get it confused that you have to be FS to be a cleric, but there are all sorts of different ways to get both utility and damage out on Cleric builds. As long as you make sure your teammates are in fair shape and continue to do so, you’re as good of a support as anyone else. Ofcourse you can’t save people from being stupid (I partied with 2 absolutely terrible Rodeleros today which made me wish I had Priest because Revive mechanics), but you can be demoralized.

Doesn’t help that the same 10 people on Klaipedia use their precious megas to berate Monks on a daily basis. And that’s only Monks too.

all the players S**T on the clerics while clerics were trying to grind
(via ksing them) and then they cried when they had no healers in the high level dungeons

Mostly healer went to become bots, little population in low level and cleric been hire in high levels at the moment…
So if you saying NA server then Klai server already went in the high level stage while orsha got lowest population…

all the clerics (including me) were mutated into bots

ppl are stupid and want to be just FS

Leveling as a support cleric is indeed slower than other classes, but it should be much better now since there are many pardoners around to sell sacrament buffs. When I was leveling my cleric during the first few days when the server opens, there are no high level pardoners and cafrisun is so scarce in the market.

Now to level a FS cleric/wiz just

  1. Do some grind and save around 20-30k (to buy the full set of cafrisun in the marketplace, they go for around 5-7k per piece in my server currently)

  2. Or farm the cafrisun set if you don’t want to spend silvers

  3. Buy pardoners’ sacrament buff

and you are good to go until you get more spells at the higher circles. Just those 2 will add around 2 extra lines of damage and a total of +165 damage per auto attack (assuming the sacrament is +40).

These are the times where I wish I had a priest circle somewhere in my build. There are so many of such instances where it made me feel whether am I a terrible healer or my build is just wrong.

The first character is always going to be difficult. I salute those players who go full support for their first toon.

But if you have a high level main to fund your second character it’s pretty easy and not as painful. (Used my main to buy my alt arde dagger, cafrisun, and elemental dmg headgears) My AA kill most things in 2 hits.

I’m glad to be a full sup, no regreats.

There are plenty sup/dps in my guild, but when we go to war and need a party to keep people alive, I’m the only one capable.

Its harder to lvling, but there are situations a full sup Will be better.

Level 200 healer here, playing Dark Souls 3 instead of TOS. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

another big con of the support classes is that in instance dungeons silver goes to whoever deals the most damage, if you are a low damage class you are not getting any silver

Wow, that is pretty lame.

Your build is well balanced imo
Being with your Kabbalist in Siauliai mission was a good experience for me

As for supports having regrets on people dying in runs, think of it like war. In war, you can never be prepared for everything and there will always be casualties and those fighting in the war will more or less know about this as a matter of fact.

Sometimes people can be reckless, even costing me my life at times but oh well :sunglasses:

Literally horrible and soulwrecking, nobody even wants to party thanks to this awful quest based system.
Whenever I have to deal with a quest that forces me to kill flying mobs, I just do the quest and quit the game for the rest of the day or jump on my wizard for the rest of the day.

As you can see, I haven’t made too much progress thanks to those two points.

Thank you.

Yeah, I understand that… maybe I should just see more deaths before I get used to it lol.

You’re welcome
Just keep rolling XD

As a long time healer in MMOs I never got used to people dying. Even if someone Leroy’s you still wish you could keep them alive. xD

:open_mouth: it must be tough having bestowed the alignment/blessing/talent of being a healer

Then again I was support healer 1/3 of the time I spent playing Moba so I guess I can share the pain whenever my heals can’t keep up with the damage OTL

Yes It isn’t easy being a healer at all. There are lots of things to take note besides the boss/mobs health bar and skill cooldowns. Every single fight healers are looking at the:

  • party’s health bars
  • each player’s position
  • the current fight situation, is boss doing aoe
  • any environment hazards (need to counterspell or cure)
  • buff timers
  • potential place to drop heal tiles
  • distances between players (where to drop mass heal / buffs)

Not to mention tos healers can do more than just heal for support, there are even more things to do.

@Moonspring
Second what you said. Just like dpsers who pride themselves in bringing the boss down fast, we healers also pride ourselves in outputting more heals than the damage dealt by monsters to our fellow party mates :3

Hence any death is kind of a blow to us :x
