What type of gamer are you? (For ToS)

I’m a sad sad grinders that likes to gather and craft, and hunt for rares. In terms of gameplay, I like true action base play-style like Vindictus and Dragon Nest, but I hate being bottleneck by instances. That doesn’t mean that I hate instance dungeons, since they are great for large scale raids. I much prefer an open-world environment, with world events like in Rift Online & Guild Wars 2.

I’m trying to retire from playing as a healer as my main character after being one for more than 10 years. Ironically, I’m aiming for a monk, which starts off as a healer, lmao.

I’m a hardcore all in all player.
I just want to get any of the possible achievements, become one of the top ranking players in everything (or maybe become the 1st rank instead), be the first one to do this and that (especially when it comes to dungeon access, hidden class access, etc), making guides to help the community, be proud of that so I won’t have any regret when I don’t really have that much playtime in the future.

Group pve player with full carebear mode. Always willing to help and share items to trusty friends, listen to their complaints and warm them if I can.

I like to pvp sometime but I’m not a big fan of pvp because it makes me stressed.

With almost every MMO I’ve ever played my goal was to collect as many rare items possible, so I’ll probably be doing the same thing with ToS. I want to hunt for rare treasures!! I also want to perfect the jobs/classes I care about, help my guildmates as much I possibly can, master my crafts, and conquer the most difficult quests/monsters/raids. (Is there going to be raids?)

I want to dive into the lore of this game. I think I will try pvp sometimes, but my focus is more of pve and helping others.

It’s pretty awesome to see the variety come out in force. From PvP slayers to PvE only players to Treasure hunters and freaken Lore hunters. That’s a lot of different play styles in just a few posts relatively.

Jokes aside, I really do not know my direction yet. However, this may be my very last MMO until Lost Ark is out.

I prefer playing with a band of friends rather than playing alone… makes me feel lonely. :disappointed_relieved:

Achiever or killer… why not both haha

So a killer or achiever? Because I saw you choose Killer before you edited it.
But there’s only a slight difference between that killer and achiever IMO. Both of them focus on achieving something (leaderboard and high rank are also considered as achievements). Oh! Exlporer’s also considered as an achiever by discovering new dungeons, bosses, items, quests, etc.
Btw where did you get that picture? Looks interesting.

Haha, I saw him type Killer too, I THOUGHT WE WERE THE SAME!

I guess the main difference is Achievers aim towards beating the game itself, whereas Killers aim to beat the competition trying to beat the game and/or other Killers.

Whereas Socialites and Explorers are just sitting in a corner watching the two types of players kill eachother not giving a @*£!~

I couldnt choose hahah

Then I guess I must count myself as a killer, achiever, explorer, and socialite at the same time.
It’s the best way to fully enjoy the game for me. And I think some people will agree.

I do a bit of everything.
Mostly a solo player but don’t mind joining a party if i’m asked to or somebody needs help.
I spent most of my time in RO on planning builds, how to level (i had level or % of level to attain per day before i was satisfied) and how to make cash for my personal needs (i don’t mind farming for it or finding grinding spots i think could provide good results). I like to do everything the game offers and possibly by soloing it.

PvP is generally done casually, i am not a good pvper as i simply do not take it seriously, doesn’t mean i can’t hold my ground though.

I’d probably count myself as 40% killer, 25% explorer, 25% socialite and 10% achiever. The only reputation I care about is that for skill at the game in the PvP and Guild Wars area (Maybe MvPing too), although I appreciate achievements, I’ve never been one to sit down and 100% a game unless I REALLY love it…

That’s good enough for a PvP focused player.
Sometimes achievements mean nothing to some people because it’ll take a lot of effort and time.
