What is definition of "BOT"?

First, we have to change the view. Battle with Bot is not MMO companies fighting aganist a small group of programers, but the fight between organizations. Bot providers have resourses, they have a team of professional programers, 1000+ PC per factory. While MMO companies can use only a part of their resourse to counter Bot, they have to takecare of server and customers, develop the game and many duty as service providers.(Which IMC su*k at doing :kissing:)

No number of bots is going to bypass a server-sided humanity check for each client running the game, especially when the farm is run by 3-4 players, on 30-100 separate machines EVEN WITH alert systems running. If IMC were to develop something of worth it wouldn’t be an issue.

No company gold farming is going to have the income to hire quality programmers on a permanent basis…they don’t bring in nearly enough money as you think they do…

And once again (getting sick of saying this): IMC has the ability and funding (or potential of funding) to actually hire customer service employees as Junior GMs to deal with the grunt work. People can claim it’s a waste of money all they want, but the cost of doing business to save the business is the smart thing to do.

  • Order issues (Refunds, bug report/ticket tracking)
  • Phone Support (For above)
  • Validating Bot reports (visual confirmation in-game)
  • Passing reports to Senior GMs (who do the banning)
  • In-game assistance where necessary

God…

they should solve the bot problem, it is unfair to all players. p2p or f2p players, i saw bots easily farming silver to buy token and pets, bot is like real money generating machine or bank. they can just sit on their chair and waiting money to go into their pocket.

tracking the trace of money, bots farming for game currency -> buy token or cash items-> sell the item for real currency or cash + scam or fraudulent = cash generating machine.

the winner rules are that if u have a bot u win… u can stay at the top with no efforts and paying no cash. all to win and nothing to lose… they can have all the silver, real cash they want.

imc can either solve the bot problem, provide a boting system for us or incorporate the botting system into the game, it means player would not have to grind or farm at all, and they can focus more on quest, just like angels online. in the end, i see no benefit to the games, if they didnt take any action.

imc, if u can’t beat them, join them…
a brilliant way to sucking the money out of any games…

They said they used machine learning techniques to judge if the reported player is really a bot or not…

That’s quite sad because good machine learning techniques should already be able to catch and ban the bot without the need of a report at all…

bullshit, all the botters, they did it with no shame, and imc dont give a fck at all…
botters are going to ruin all the games… it is better for server provider or developer to allow players to bot using a legal boting system, i played a few games that have their own botting system before, and they did quite well in my opinion.

why imc let others especially china to make money and the players unhappy, if they can make money and make all the players happy, i see no benefits at all…

Dude it’s not just a matter of making IRL money off the game.

Bots also lag the hell out of the servers and annoy the players by KSing, giving the game a bad reputation, etc.

definitely, u are totally correct. it has lots of negative side effect to any games. we had already listed out quite a lot of the negative effect to them. hopefully, imc will take us and the problem seriously.

I’m… I’m confused…

if u played angels online before, it has its own botting system… in other words, a botting system in game. the game itself provides a botting system to the players… players dont have to grinding or farming…

It wont stop them completely, but it sure will slow them down.
Imagine having to log in 1000 account manually , it will make it hard for them to log it that many account.
So they will either reduce the number of bots or they will have to get more technician.

I remember there’s a game that let high level players volunteer to be a guard, that can jail bots.
There should be something similar too, but limit the amount of players that the guard or templar can ban at first based on a reputation system.

Banning wrong players could get the templar banned so they should only ban players that are obviously a bot like gold spammer or players with gibberish name.

The guild must have at least 20 level 200 members before they can even start banning people to prevent bot from creating templar bots and auto-banning players.

They should also make it easier to report gold spammer , players cant report gold spammer on shout chat now.
