I have a feeling they have a lot more skills but I wouldn“t mind learning or getting some great tips from them :3

Software dev ^^ currently freelance.

IT job while i work on my programming skills to eventually get a gaming job

Why gaming industry?

Your going to be underpaid and be cycled through as a code monkey only for a few months. The industry truly tests if you have a real passion or not. Also you have to build a resume of games you’ve made in the past and possible accolades to get into those awesome studios or had connections from the get go. This is if you do consoles.

I hope you mean something with less of barrier of entry like indie, or the optimization side of games.

GIS Analyst and incidentally filled a position as a geodatabase administrator due to one database course I took in college. I get paid for both.

I’ve already heard the horror stories from my teachers about people who work 70+ hours a week in gaming jobs (I’m at 50-60 hours myself but quitting my 2nd job soon to fix that), along with the never ending job hunt because of how most gaming jobs are contract based and not long term. Which is why in any gaming job i’ll mainly be trying to learn and get more experience, since my goal is to be a game designer.

I have a handful of mobile games i’ve worked on, but nothing good enough to put on the market yet, my artwork just sucks and i can’t keep bugging my artistic friends to make my games look pretty for me lol. I’ll probably be more of an indie game designer regardless of whatever job i have because i like to be my own boss and work at my own pace anyway. :>

Support ā€œEngineerā€ is my official title at Dell… I would call myself a technician supervisor over other support technicians.

I used do web developer work, got lazy, moved to Florida USA from California. Eventually I want to go back to web development once I settle down in the small tech industry over here.

I work as a software Engineer, Web designer, game developer, IT expert, professional gamer, system analyst, lawyer, teacher, nurse, ophthalmologist, surgeon, biologist, pharmacist, accountant, technician, actor, business administrator, politician, scientist, pilot, general, architect, police, archeologist, chef, musician, hacker and all the thing that I forgot to mention.

No need to be jealous I’m just this talented.

I bake stuff.

Cakes, pies, whatever.

Sooo… I guess one of those jobs is your real one. I’d bet politician considering the amount of bullshit you post.

I already told you don’t be jealous, you are nothing compared to me, just be happy that you have the privilege to even read my posts.

Couldn’t be more jealous of a professional daydreamer :+1:
