It did hit a nostalgic chord when I first heard about the game, so I do like that!

I really enjoy that I can mess around with many different kinds of playstyles. There’s always going to be a supreme meta, but experimenting is really the most fun part of the game. It’s disappointing that most games coming around don’t really provide that sort of option. Even just the illusion of choice is fun, as it breaks the monotony.

I also enjoy the variety of costumes. I like collecting vanity items~ Creating headgears was one of my favourite things to do in RO.

The music is also quite nice. Generally, speaking. There’s some tracks that are really strange, though.

The community is also very nice! Most people I see in game are very friendly and polite. It’s refreshing. Sadly I see lots of cool people on Orsha in dungeons, and don’t get to see them otherwise :frowning: Booo!

There are negatives, for sure. But it’s nice to remember what you do enjoy about things, and not burn yourself out!

Edit: Ah! I forgot the equipment diversity. It needs a lot of balancing work, but I love the variety of weapons that there are. Hopefully they will be balanced up in the future.

This is ironic since I posted a rant before but I still love ToS so here goes:

  • class diversity->build what you want to be
  • model and animation->cool and cute. nuff said
  • music->The first time I stepped on Orsha, it’s just overwhelming to me.(Amusement, Angelus and Deives-something also still memorable to me)
  • art-> Yes Maggi. I love all your artwork
  • voice pack -> Could be better but hey all of 'em are cool and cute
  • Skill effect -> I love RO effects. Tos could be better too but so far still like it
  • Hidden things -> it’s hidden so we hunt for it!

I’d love if we can have an ā€œauraā€ effect or very long duration buff

Some things I don’t see mentioned often are the weapon models and the animations. There’s a ton of unique animations for each class, and they’re all pretty good.

I personally am not a huuuuge fan of the style for weapons, but they are modeled very nicely. Stuff like the corona rod or demon pikes and whatnot.

Also, just as a general sense: this game has a distinct and well rounded, well developed and attractive style. Very few MMOs have this, others I can think about are stuff like LaTale or Blade & Soul. It could’ve gone with a much more generic and basic anime-style whatever but it has its own charm.

There’s a few like this, especially from wizards. Enchant Fire, Subzero Shield, and Haste all have visible auras and the skills have little-to-no downtime.

In addition to many of the things that has allready been mentioned here i really like the collections and the adventure journal stuff.

Aside from everything about the game that lot of people already said, there’s one ā€œuniqueā€ (not really) thing I like with ToS along with other unique things.

It’s that it is a MMO that I like and actually runs on Linux (Wine) so it really incentives me to play more since there’s no hassle for rebooting or stopping everything else to play or moving everything into Windows ><

I really like theorycrafting, making alts, trying out different playstyles. I also really like how many of the classes draw from real world cultures and contexts. It’s fun to read about these different iconic roles people played in different cultures.

Their choices both in game design and managing an MMO are also really interesting. Their preemptive and heavy choices at trade limitations, they way the class system has broken down the trinity of roles, etc.

the background is not fully in 3d, is what I noticed, some of them are 2d.
What I like?
Background design, Character design, ā€œhidden stuffā€ to search and solves…not really music tho. And the lore I guess?
