No they canāt. Talking about Tree of Savior on their forums could be associated with āunsolicited advertisingā. According to their Terms of Service, that gives them the right to modify your message.

A bad example would be if you let people in your house, however the only rule is they must not mention Ragnarok Online. It is forbidden. They canāt sue you over it haha. Ragnarokās forum is itās own space which they own. You donāt have to agree to their rules, but you do have to obey them.
Anyway, itās still hilarious, and possibly a huge PR mistake by them. They may have prevented a very small number of from realising this games existence, however when ToS is released and the marketing campaign really picks up. Thatās when we will see the damage thatās done.

Of course for sure we cannot sue them for something as childish as this. If this is just the way they play, let us just let players judge whether it is a correct course of action or not. Let us just hope that there will be no further conflict from this kind of matter.

I only really started following ToS news in April, so I missed this storyā¦ But wowā¦ I understand why they would want to censor it obviously, but for them to actually do it just makes me look down on them so muchā¦

Well they actually implemented that a long while ago, it was pretty fun abusing it until they started giving warnings for doing so xD fyi it works when trying to name other mmos as well for example WoW.
perhaps you should try typing another game name that, you know, have bad rating, dying or whatever. . let see if they got censored either or not. . . because, ToS is hasnt been released yet, they taking measure like that. www

The reason why I doubt that the screenshots are not faked: In the first example line, the last two words were āragnarok onlineā (without the quotes) but in the sent message the text became ā āragnarok onlineā '. Why would this happen?
