Weapon Auto-Swap Lag (Musketeer/Cannoneer)

So, I just hit Rank 7 and I’m deciding between Musketeer and Cannoneer. I’m learning towards Musk but from what I read, Musketeers have this terrible lag/screen freeze when using their skills when the auto-weapon swap is triggered.

Cannoneers, on the other hand, have this option where they could equip Cannons on their offhand (instead of pistols), so that they don’t have to swap weapons when their skills are used.

I’d like to know whether this auto-swap lag is still around, and if it is, how bad exactly is the lag/screen freeze? Is it a mere annoyance or will it be enough to kill you during boss or ET runs?

Its a screen freeze for 0.5 - 1 seconds. Though on some days it works just fine.

Ugh, so it hasn’t been fixed at all… even partially? Is the screen freeze exactly the same as when you manually switch weapons (say, between 1h crossbow and 2h-bows) or is it worse?

i have the some problem frezs 1-5 sec, and i need relog…

There’s rumors that the more items you have in your inventory the worse the delay you’ll get for weapon swap.

Cannoneer here. Sadly both Cannoneer and Musketeer suffer from weapon swap issues. As any archer knows there are attributes that make certain weapon combinations more appealing such as defense reduction on Xbow and damage increase vs flying with 2Hbows. Regardless if you choose Cannoneer or Musketeer you have to deal with swap issues. Yeah you can keep your Cannon as your offhand but chances are you’ll get more damage on your non cannoneer spells overall with a different offhand like ManaMana or Karacha Dagger. Musketeer however has it a little worse.

My solution is having my Xbow and Cannon in 1 weapon swap slot while my Xbow and dagger are in the other slot. I have my 2H bow on my hotbar and just hit a button to switch to twohanded bow and weapon swap to switch back. This can be applied to musketeer as well. Funny thing is swapping to a weapon on my hotbar seems to be more responsive than my actual weapon swap.

Please @STAFF_Amy! Get dev’s attention and work on fixing this issue ASAP, a majority of players would really appreciate this!
I’ve been waiting patiently for this fix!

Thanks, but can you give us some sort of timeline for the fix? I just changed to Musketeer, and the weapon swap lag is horrendous after like 20 mins of gameplay. I don’t even feel like playing right now because of this.

Might go on a break or play other chars for now.

Because, at this moment, my screen began to freeze when I use the autoswap weapons through musketer/ ranger skills.

Nah, it still freezes. I have musketeer lv240 and it always freezes when i autoswap. Its alittle better than a month ago but still freezes, which is a problem when magic mobs hit for 3k every single hit and a musketeer has max 14k HP with OP gear… I really wanted this fixed but it seems they still dragging it along…
