Ways we could bring players back or get more

This is my suggestion as to what a possible campaign would be to bring people in and back. I’d love to see what the community has in mind as well to try to bring this game to a better state.

However I do fully realize maybe now is probably not the right time, since things need to be pressed out a little longer ( i know right kind of stretched out) BUT its important that we list opportunities and ideas.

Please contribute anything. I accept all forms of ideas (sure even trolling / doom posting go ahead lol )

Id think it make sense if they made a baseline for pvp gear i.e. default gear you’re stuck with when you get in TBL , gvg etc. when rank 8 came tbl became a one shot fiesta. lol Theres more i could go into that but theres some good stuff you wrote. Thank you for your input.

Omg marry me.

This all of this. Everything you said.

People stop buying TP let the game die out.
Create a group on social media sites wanting an actual publisher to come and attempt to provide us with the game. IMC can stick to trying to develop, not that i have much faith myself when they develop either.
Hope the social media group become large enough for a publisher to take interest and want to publish in the west. Will it work out? Maybe, but maybe not.

It’s sad to see how much IMC doesn’t care. For it to take a forum post that lets people know how to crash servers, to be the reason they finally fix a problem that was in the game for so long (Though it’s not the only way). All the players they lose have no good reason to return. Year long bugs that get no attention doesn’t deliver belief in your player base. It’d probably be returning on blind hope.

There are the pay to win publishers.
Then there’s IMC…astonishing how any company would let itself be this bad.

As much as people wanted it. Pvp was doomed to work out poorly just because of the nature of many skills in the game. The removal of gear and level averaging just opened new wounds.

On a shocking turn of events. IMC actually did something good because it seems lots of people are pleased with finally getting optimisation of noticeable difference.

More patches that are actually fixing bugs or better stopping the client side abuse that is all too common, would be good. Add some events which are fun to participate in or at least not a chore to do. Then we work or way (hopefully up) from there. A simple thing for IMC to have always done. Just tell the players what’s going on. Even if it was bad news. Going silent on people was awful.

  1. imc to play their own game
  2. repeat 1 until they get the idea how to fix their own mess
  3. if 2 dont work out, make more tp costume
  4. there is no 4 if 1 2 3 dont work… trees have been burnt to ground

Wow another old player trashing the game. IMC has done well.

In your own little world, IMC is a bunch of heroes! But in reality, they are a laughing stock for this broken game. Staff responses get butchered cause of their incompetence. 7%, [Resolved], Stop embarassing yourself and more are used to ridicule IMC. I strongly suppose, staff members think about what impact their words may have and what bad forum memes might stem from neutral statements.

IMC needs to be fixed before any problems can be addressed.

I look forward to my next exp tome compensation.

they should just fix the game breaking bugs, help the lag and fix broken skills n quests n such. ah ye…need to punish those exploits and bots ofc.

but seriously…alot of complaints seem to be based on “its not easy enough”…
(those new monsters are too strong…those droprates are too low…i cant reset my skills…the attributes are too expensive…qqwtf )

or aggressive balance (OMG IMC!!! FIX THIS SKILL I GOT KILLED BY IT WTF!!!) complaints. how many variantions can you make with all the classes and circles available?..is league of assholes balanced?..hell its not…if there would be no items it would be a disaster.

btw…thats the perfect game to start complainin…honestly…the first game i played people were already fighting like mad. there was never a second match. and you should do the same if you dont like ToS as a game.

complaining about a broken game is fine…but stop cryin about stuff that isnt broken but just not goin your way

IMC Side

  1. Market and market more. jToS has so many players is also due to the marketing Nexon does. Look at the online youtube trailers, and physical banners in Akihabara.

  2. Balance the classes and stats. It will be hard and tedious but it will pay off in the end.

  3. Balance PVP/TBL by having every class a baseline, default equipment. Introduce dispeller abilities for all 4 classes and not just cleric alone. Increase TBL arena size so that area wide crowd control and ausrine will be used situationally.

  4. Get the bugs fixed.

Community Side

  1. Stop telling others to stop buying TP. It is IMC’s only source of income for iToS and once the income stops, the priority given to us also stops. Nothing is free in this world.

  2. Try to engage the game in a more positive light. It is hard as there are many frustrations due to latency/bug/issues, but if the community is positive, it will attract more players. Many are attracted to MMO due to the community, if the community keep bashing the game it will stop people from even trying it out. How many times we watch/read/play some IP then discover that IP isn’t as bad as what the reviews depicted?

  3. Know that things don’t happen overnight. The game is currently on its 10th month since founders and we are miles better than where we started 10 months ago. Just have more patience.

  4. Be neutral and not bias in comments. Kind of a tall order though.

idk this feels wrong somehow. Nothing is free in this world. You might be right, tp sales is the income for IMC. However when IMC couldn’t provide the players with satisfactory service but the players still have to continue paying them, its like asking for free money without putting efforts. I understand saying ‘no effort’ might sound exaggerating but if I’m to be lenient, the proper word should be ‘too little effort’. I wouldn’t say people should stop buying tp. Its just that their effort is not worth our money.

When i launch the game 30% of the time the launcher closes but the game don’t start, i still got a VGA error today, desyncs in pvp, fps is still sht, retarded balance decisions…

Just some things that need to be fixed before they can even start advertising the game or people will just comeback crash and get commanderloaded and leave again.

So what is needed to bring players back? IMC has to step it up.

honestly it’s very simple, really. Fix bugs/exploit and give us KTOS version of 5 dungeon runs. IMC never state why they give iToS only 3 runs…sigh.

It goes both ways. IMC cannot expect money unless they have a proper product to offer.

Yes, gib it to us! Why hate iTOS?

@silverx093, @MagicOne

Satisfaction of consumer is kind of subjective and differs from player to player. Some players might feel that the game warrants enough positive points to let them continue playing, others might not feel that way.

It is the same with other games like Skyrim, laden with bugs till the player community have to step in and create their own patches to patch it. But, it is still a successful product, with many fans and haters.

We can’t just measure things with our own stick and ask others to follow our way. Worth of the game differs from player to player.

KTOS also has 3 runs now;
it all was changed by a certain patch that was applied to both KTOS and ITOS in short succession which fixated the daily dungeon run limit in all TOS versions at 2 runs per day (and 3 if you’re a Token user).
This patch also increased the EXP gain from instanced dungeons by 100% [ which equal 2x exp of a former run] and reduced the silver gain from dungeons by 20%.

Just look at the patch changelogs on the mainpage and here: http://pastebin.com/u/sunhwapark ; you’ll find it somewhere.
