VR and AR Support

Apologies if I’m misinsterpreting your explanation but do you mean that imc/Kim should provide 1st person view for ToS?

I would think that Kim/imc wouldnt have any VR/AR support simply because they are going for the appeal of an isometric 3d game. It’s a style they’ve been going for with Kim’s past games which are lovely and aesthetic.

If you’re talking about simply putting that 3rd person view on a vr headset then it can be rudimentary- Ive done stereo VR implementation on an FPGA before.

Edit: Also, I would think as of now most gamers dont have a VR headset. This may not warrant the need of an VR extension for a few years, when VR play will be more prevalent.

I can understand misinterpretation, but from your answer, it seems that you didn’t even try to read the thread

The one who started the topic didn’t even want to implement a first person view, taken from the OP words:

I recommend you to read the other posts from the thread to understand where the discussion has gone to  .

but u should also read the next half of my post.

But yeah, I did read it earlier and didnt decide to change it earlier. No need for your sass and thank you.

Sorry for the sass, i did read your post, and those where topics that where already addressed on other posts on the thread.

yup, just wanted to add my 0.02 . What you mentioned in your ealier that would work is pretty much the most ToS would do for VR is pretty much code that can be done in less than a week. That is if they care :stuck_out_tongue:

True, and even if they could make a full blown VR implementation including head tracking and all, I doubt that it would be easy since they designed the game be played and look good from a fixed perspective, it would require a lot of work to adapt what they already have to get an immersive VR experience, and even implementing it might break the game as what it is right now.

Also, i’m more interested in other aspects from this game than to have the chance to play it in VR, there will be other games for that

Yeah, It may also be worth to mention that since VR headsets start at 200$/ compared to a 10-20 dollar used ps3 controller. Previous posts mentioned the cost of dev kits, but when does that matter if only 1% of your population would have that extra hardware
