Voiceover: Korean or...?

I believe you can adjust the volume for voices in-game, so wish granted.

Voice work is expensive, so I don’t mind the universal Korean if that’s what we’ll be getting.

I didn’t mean it that way though, I meant to say that I’d prefer if they just gave a few grunts or shouts when performing skills instead of the constant ā€œAISU BLAHSTā€ you’d hear from a cryomancer…

Maybe ā€œmoansā€ wasn’t the right word for that :3

It’d be harder, pvp-wise, to predict the opponents’ skills since what we hear are grunts, shouts, and moans  unless they provided different grunts for each skill, then it’d be a matter of memorizing the voices.

Otherwise I also prefer ā€œmoansā€, but still ok with current voices xD

I think there’ll be options for players to choose the voice actors sounds.

hmm sudjestion!

i think there should be firmly korean voice but with the possibility of changing the voice mp3 file to what we want language to…
this way… ToSdevs can focus more on technical game development while fans can make their own voice recording XD of course… from professional VAs that is… then the sharing/distribution! we can put what ever VAs we like! (/A)/

Yeah! I remember reading that there will be. I hope the english VOs will be good… I also personally like hearing the skill/spell names be yelled out but only if its not shouted every time/every other time you use it! I feel like that’d get really annoying…

I’m fine with anything but I hope they will allow customized voices, like the pitch etc. but I don’t think that will ever happen…

@rhidz your own voice lol that would be interesting, you mean like fans will upload their voice samples and whoever gets the most vote will be used for the game?? or you just simply record your own voice for your own character?

Personally I feel it would be a bad move to stick to the Korean voiceovers. Most people only prefer them because they feel that anything aside from the original is garbage. This is soooooooo common in anime and it’s honestly shameful. If they did not get English voice actors, they would only appeal to a small audience and the rest would be like ā€œwtf is this? why isn’t my English game actually English?ā€ People always complain about English dubbing being awful but really, it’s just this puritan attitude towards English that makes them ignorant to everything that isn’t 100% original. I feel Asian languages, especially Japanese, are given a free pass when it comes to stuff like this so consider this for a second: A German developer created ToS instead of IMC, would you all be happy if instead of English, there were only German voiceovers? So to conclude, English voices 100%. The game will lose appeal if they have Korean only and would therefore benefit from actually removing voice acting all together, and I’m sure none of us really want that.

You mean like Link, hahaha.

hmm i mean professionals XD not me haha well itll be nice if its voted by the people!

Well…Most people prefer it because up until a few years ago, most English voice actors were just regular dudes that had an interest in doing it. Japanese and Korean have formal training in that specific field. I’m old though, so the last English dubs I saw were god awful. I mean as much as I like Zach from Carmen Sandiego, he didn’t really fit as a VA for a video game character…

Also I’m accustomed to fighting games being in original Japanese (mostly Guilty Gear series) so it weirds me out to hear English-speakers trying to emulate it, but that’s personal pref, hah.

I hope they just stick with what they have now (korean voice), so they can spend their funds for more important things.

The original Korean VO sounds like so much fun!!

Japanese Seiyuu VO ?? heehehe
I just want my character saying ā€˜Gomi Gomi Attaakk’ when using charged skills

In games such as these I’d prefer Korean or Japanese voices, they feel more natural and I can even understand them a bit too.

I, too, prefer the original Korean voiceovers. I don’t know what it is, but there’s almost always something lost in translation from other languages to English. English voice actors usually fail when it comes to expressing the emotions of the characters. The original voice actors usually convey the feelings in the script much better. This sort of thing happens a lot with anime and video games, and it’s disappointing.

I don’t mind Korean. I like English too.

Only asian voiceover <3

FIREO BOLTO !

Shieldo Bumerango!

I agree, I also think it will be later changed, when the most high prio are finished.
