Tree of Savior's Netcode and Client - Working against the players

Wow! Did that means LoliPantsu entered @IMCisGreedy exclusion list? This is a forum where people debates. Everyone is deemed equal here except moderators(if there are)

@LoliPantsu The solution sounds easier than done. Basically you are telling IMC redesign system engine which take several years to complete. When you desyncronise, the server can’t receive data from your computer for a few secs. IF server reconnect back and accept all lump sum of data, you will be seen as moving and atking like flash which is the last thing you want to happen and rant 'hacker". Therefore the most effective solution for IMC now is force your computer to return to the last position that server remember

It is not a bug but yes, it seems that imc server has an anti speed hack

Who cares about anti-speed hack when they don’t have anti-bot or anti-+onefuckingmillion gear?

Never ever go full retarded

The moving too fast “bug” is not a bug, it’s a prevention system. When the server detects that your character has moved a distance far too big for it’s movement speed, it snaps him back. Bots before this used to teleport around the map, which doesn’t happen anymore.

The problem is that this only happens when the discrepancy is on a player’s own client. You don’t see people rubberbanding on your screen the way you see yourself do. But yes, the client SHOULD rubberband people other than yourself to their latest known positition. That would fix much of the desyncing issues.

It’s just that the client’s netcode is so shitty that it delays responding packets sent by players too hard, thus the rubberbanding

I once made a thread in reddit about this problem and got downvoted to oblivion. Lol.

I have 0 problems when playing at my uni. Less than 50 ping all the time. No rubberbanding, no lag. Nothing at all.

While playing at home, a simple ping spike from 50 to 200 will make me lag like hell. I remember spending nearly 5 minutes trying to reach Mineloader in vain because I got teleported back to the entrance like over 20 times.
