The gameplay is really really bad and the same old boring stuff you can see in hundreds of other korean MMOs

You people expect too much and are then disappointed, there’s nothing wrong with the game.

Do you perhaps know what Early Access is? If you expect everything being silky smooth before the game is out of Open Beta and this game hasn’t even entered that stage yet, then you’re expecting too much.

PS: They’re working on stuff be patient but your fps issue is honestly the last in line when it comes to problems if you can even call it that, my humble opinion anyway.

Gotta love people that knowing that the game would go f2p, bought it and now QQ and want their money back.

Perfect post right here.

No one had to buy the game it’s going to be FREE TO PLAY! So quit your whining and try being constructive people!

Blame yourself for buying a product and judge it before you do research on it. CBT is like… 2015. If you still don’t know what to expect or how the gameplay is like… jokes on you. There are people who enjoy this kind of grind with classes simulator and are willing to pay for it happily.

Screw the money, that’s pretty much irrelevant.
The real thing that needs to be mourned is the wasted potential of this game.
They had the chance to create something special and it’s clear that they really tried.
The class system is really neat and interesting.
But other than that this game is just really poorly designed. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe they felt like they need to make this game so trashy to appeal to as many people as possible, maybe they just didn’t have any good ideas to make the game interesting and engaging. We may never know

I’ve played the game myself in 2015 and all I could think was “Oh god please don’t let it be too late for them to fix this game. Please don’t let it end like this.”
My last bit of hope died with early acess

Ok. Byebye. Since you sound like you are done with the game. Every game has an end. ToS has been in development for ages. Not 2years,not 3, not 5 either.
If this is the design they chose to go with, deal with it.

Thanks for your opinion. I disagree with it entirely, other than the fact that the class system is indeed really neat and interesting. Sorry this isn’t your preference for games (actually I’m not, as it sounds like you’ll be quitting), but it the preference of many of us here.

I will indeed quit this game, I mean why would I play this when I can just play any other generic korean MMO?
Heck, I could just play on a classic RO server and get better gameplay.

But before that I’m going to vent as hard as I can on these forums

As long as you keep it your opinion and not a fact without base, then one can’t really argue since it’s based on feels and your own experience. And that’s fine too. But don’t just mindlessly contribute to the flame wars that exist in this forum section because you have nothing else better to do. At least have some more tact, and be a constructive troll if you wanna be.

I for one do feel the game needs to improve, but basically all of my favorite MMOs gradually gained content and stability with time rather than at the beginning, so I’ll enjoy this game until when I find the pain outdoes the joy. It bring me joy and eases me more than the 3DCG sweaty skin shift in the new MMO era that’s unfolding. I’m willing to give IMC time to prosper, in which I know they will.

Usually when people vent about games and wasted potential, they usually include a bunch of things that they believe would improve the game. I read through your comment history going back as far as March (I didn’t care to scroll past that point). Everything you say about it is the game is generic and you like the looting system. So I can’t help but feel like you have contributed nothing to the forums in an effort to make the game better. In that sense, you can only blame yourself for the games shortcomings at launch time. I’m sure you have certain expectations from the game. But if the game doesn’t meet those expectations and you don’t let your voice be heard… you see where I’m going with this?

Yes, the game has some very strange systems in place to combat botting action. Yes, there are already discussions in place against them. But why take the back seat on that kind of stuff? If everyone in the player base did that, then nothing would change.

Well, good news. Because a lot of that stuff is getting reviewed and is changing. Really every gripe you had is getting fast-tracked. But you can thank the community for bringing that stuff to light. You had absolutely nothing to do with it.

If you want to see wasted potential, go look at Elderscrolls Online. That game was pretty barebones when it first launched. It had tons of problems but the mechanics and the gameplay fit together well. But Zenimax (the team in charge of ESO) were making a lot of bad decisions on how to go about fixing problems. The community brings these massive, detailed posts, and they just get pushed aside by the dev team. And the dev team makes their own choices, uninfluenced by the players. With some games that works. But Zenimax has got an incredibly harsh losing streak with their decision making.

People have been about talking their expectations for this game all the way back before the first closed beta in late 2015. And I was right there, letting them know how I’m looking forward to this game and discussing with other people about our hopes for this game.
Just because these things never happened on these forums doesn’t mean that they didn’t happen at all. After all the forums didnt exist back then.

Some dude even wrote a huge essay on why RO was a great game and what IMC can take away from it to make a even better game. You can believe me when I say that I participated in every poll and made sure to make my opinion heard by them as much as possible.
However, after the closed beta I didn’t want to bother anymore. It was obvious at that point what path IMC was going down so what’s one guy on the forums going to do when there’s thousands of other people eating up stuff like boring exp dispenser quests and a linear leveling experience?

There’s nothing I can do anymore except letting my anger out here and tell other people how objectively bad this game is while mourning for this game. And then I’ll move on with my life

ESO was dead the moment it got announced, anyone who had any hope for it really has nobody to blame but themself. I mean, it’s a game by Zenimax so of course it was going to be trash. I suppose I could say the same about my own hype for ToS though. That’s how hype works, you see something you really look forward to and that would make you happy and ignore all the bad signs such as some korean company just displaying their incompetence at good game design over and over.

Well, good news. Because a lot of that stuff is getting reviewed and is changing. Really every gripe you had is getting fast-tracked

I really doubt that, people have been crying about the lack of trading and all the bugs for weeks now and they are too busy fighting a endless wave of bots. You’d really have to start from scratch and redo the way leveling and fighting works in this game and I don’t see this happening

This is actually much faster than most other games handle changes to systems they were intent on keeping.

I just think it’s way too early to give up whatever hopes you have for the game. The beta is there to get the core systems straightened out. Sometimes that takes longer than anticipated. The serious changes come after the official release. If IMC sees deficiencies in their game at this point (usually focused on by the community), you can bet that it’s going to change. Unless they’re Zenimax.

He is just seeking attention like the OP and many others. If you want to improve the game, make a thread on the suggestion section. Why bother crying in general discussion.

Yeah, I got to admit that IMC is really trying hard to make this a good experience for everyone, but they are still really incompetent at it.
And like I said, many people seem to be happy about reaching max level after about 1 month and then having nothing to do anymore, all that through the means of boring quests that lead you through a linear world.
I’m a minority here so things will never change in my favour.

It can’t be helped

I mean… there’s no real point in putting a cry thread in the suggestion section.
