That is her way of making herself sound important… on an ONLINE GAME. And she will as much as possible try to change the topic and be friendly to other people so she would appear not to give a damn about what other say. That’s bimbo rule.

youre like some kind of psychology 101 student

im actually a very nice person, that programmer dude flan flan got his rustles jimmied, not me.

so you should use your psychic powers on him

I’d just like to make one point: My jimmies are not rustled. But you chose not to care about anything I said and also chose not to clear up this ā€œmisunderstandingā€ I apparently had about what you said.

So I decided that talking to you was a waste of time at that point. But I must say, your use of passive aggression and sarcasm is pretty good. I use the same kind of passive aggression and sarcasm when I want to try to be a bitch to someone and influence popular opinion, so it really isn’t anything special to me.

yet im not really trying to influence anything here haha

this is a useless complain thread, as a programmer id expect you to understand how these things work ( i mean idk what kind of programmer you are )

why would i care to stray opinion while not addressing IMC directly?

srsly

ill make sure to let you know if i ever make a post to IMC devs
youll see what i mean A - Z will be included

Is that guy with the name ā€œTOSKOREā€ same author who made hybrid-kore, open-kore botting software in RO days?

Why people assume the servers track nothing? do these people think IMC believe them have done nothing wrong when they have like… 24/7 login record, 100k kill of a same monster in days, gain gold from npc outside town, and a bunch of bot report record?

Ban, fix some problems, and launch the game officially with full on marketing, I know you need more cash since you kind of rush out the iTOS, IMC.

Speaking of retaliation… Guy posting porn images everywhere saying this game sucks ass that just got banned from the forums…

Not saying tinfoil hat here but… It seemed like just a little bit of butthurt.

I know, openned 8 tickets already and they are still looking into it.
I dont see that as sharing since it was really sporadic when we logged each other acc’s, like 2 or 3 times since we started playing. And no, i wouldnt say it out loud, it was only to show that honestly I did nothing wrong or her, otherwise her acc would also be like mine. We both used the same add on’s. If that was the reason, she would also be with the same problem. Only thing I can think of its due to use Wtfast. Really?! Makes no sense.

Ohh that ring the bells… good to know thanks!

No one here is trying to justify bots. Once again. There however is a market for bots. No one can deny that. By having a game company, in this case IMC, understanding that- They can use it to their advantage and make bots useless by changing around some base mechanics of the game. See how we are only bringing the issue to light so that IMC can try to fix it.

Isn’t this what happened with the add-on issue in the first place? Something that was there from the start of the game because of loose code and hooks without any form of security. It only took them less than a week to implement the security needed to stop it from occurring again.

i.e- They are following a well known thought process. Follow the path with the least resistance. It’s such a solid thought almost everything in the universe follows it. Can you imagine that?

Crime and actions against ā€œrulesā€ will always occur. We don’t live in a place that is perfect, and we never will. A lot of people still believe doing something undiscovered is okay, no matter how bad it might be in actuality. Being clever in how to deal with botting is the best ward against bots.

This is absolutely true. Again, path of least resistance and there is currently a demand for silver, therefore the market exists.
anyway check out this cool meme i made

Too many ā€œwaifusā€ in the way. I got lost in the maze of anime. Sorry. However, I am curious to see what happens when they re-open the game and we can look at natural numbers.
…And please, ā€œAFK farmersā€? You mean auto-potters, who should also all be banned since it’s a form of botting.
Auto-potters? I meant necromancers. Sorcs using a method of auto-potting is definitely against the rules. Who ever thought that was okay? I know I didn’t. Before Necromancers were simple pets, which are typically easy enough to work around, yet still yields okay income for you know, being asleep doing nothing active in the game.

I’m all for discussion and understanding another person’s mindset is absolutely wonderful. I can absolutely understand why you are so avidly against botting. I am too. I have played this game legit and have gotten very far by doing so. The other fact is that botters don’t care about ā€œother legit playersā€ they care about personal gains.

The simple fact of the matter, without being indecent to anyone is, there is a market for in-game currency, and as you said, it’s been around forever in many games. Creating clever solutions to have a detrimental effect on bots so they aren’t as impacting is how a game company can best combat this.

Some games combat this with their own form of currency exchange. I still say the company that best did this is definitely the one behind Guild Wars 2. Straight Gem to Gold exchange in-game. It even fluctuates depending on how in demand ā€œGemsā€ or ā€œGoldā€ are at the current time.

Again, as was said before. If you have a way to try to fix the issue.

You bring your opinion on how to fix it to public, and in the case for this game, on their official forums.

I have a background in sales and marketing and I feel it translates very well to looking at markets brought up in game environments as well. They are indeed very similar, no matter how much people may try to deny that.

For myself, I would love to see…

a.) Mobs dropping less silver, to no silver, and in exchange, having our dailies, namely party quests, or daily quests from mercenary post, rewarding more silver.

b.) Also, having more quests give silver early on is a great way to combat the stagnant area before level 100 where you can start making more money through those methods.

Having bots traverse multiple maps to make money typically is too much for people to code. I’m not even going to mention that this game has no bot detection, or 24/7 active(active as in moving around and bopping things) accounts aren’t flagged as suspicious to anyone.

if they want to be un banned, they must pay at least 200 US dollar!
this will definitely give them a big lesson.
