It’s all about weapon upgrading now. You will be seeing +21 and +26 weapons (315 oranges) or higher more often now, plus Transcendence will give the same Physical/Magic attack as before or more…

what bothers me is crit rate i got 573 crit but still barely do crit on my attacks jeezus…
If you’re a Doppelsoeldner3 don’t bother with DEX. IMC wanted Crit rate and Evasion to be specialized by Archers also Deeds of Valor got nerfed to sh*t so there’s no real reason to get evasion for us. Only Shinobis and Fencers should go full DEX or mixed stats.
Block penetration can be obtained with Solmiki plate gloves + gems and Critical attack doesn’t make a huge difference unless you achieve high crit rate.
first i think so too, but if u upgrage to +11 ~ +16, its a lot different and it also really cheap, attribute not our main invest now, it should be upgrade weapon with anvil, and trans as soon as posible, go str, not dex
Or you can just use a regular weapon, actually upgrade it, buy a few potions, and kill twice as fast as a cleric.
Complaining is probably easier though.
Nobody needs solmiki/pract weapons to kill stuff.

My level 204 Doppel does more damage with an unupgraded weapon… AND NO ATTRIBUTES. You may want to invest into STR and get a proper weapon.
Every class is so much stronger now. It’s super easy to get a 1000 atk+ weapon and then you breeze through every map.
I don’t know what game you play but on my new Reiter I just upgraded the Manamana to +6 and breezes through Pystis Forest. And my completely ungeared Highlander with his trusty Vienie does the same. So does my Alchemist. And that’s all alts.
Everything is so much better now. I don’t know what’s wrong with you.
I had the exactly same issue, but I fear is linked to my 5Hammer.
After trying a little bit with my corsair, it seemed that the manamana skills (Pistol Shot) were not bad, even though I was full dex.
Today I’ll try to craft a Catacombs Blade and upgrade a Ignition/Pamane to see if something changes. If only I had gems it could be better 
Kind of an exaggeration. You just have to chug thousands of potions now. It still sucks because even at carrying weight capacity I have to go back to town and buy more potions constantly, so even when someone has a repair shop set up on the map I have to stop farming to restock.
FYI if you weren’t aware there are new potions in the item shop that heal about as much as level 15 potions and are on a separate cooldown. You really need to bring both and use them every cooldown to tank all the damage with no cleric.
I wonder if some restorative spell scrolls are going to start being popular now?
IMO the attack speed on skills actually matters more than I gave it credit for before, and you don’t need that much DEX investment to see a difference. Considering STR still contributes very little to your total damage end-game you’re not losing out on much. Plus, there are some builds where you can actually have high crit chance on at least some of your skills from attributes, ex. Swords3 Double Slash which actually hits pretty hard now and crits consistently, or Highlander2 Moulinet. I wanted to try a Swords3 Highlander2 build to see how good Double Slash’s bonus damage vs. bleeding is now, but it seems like it’s still just a flat value of 100 or something. Really sad. Bleed damage synergy build could be fun.
Things changed a lot
I’ve noticed that Swordie C3 is quite strong now: gung ho and concentration get really high numbers if you get to at least lv 10 with full atribute, double slash extra crit chance makes it hit really hard as well.
And there you go, something so mundane changes everything.

As an SR with 800+ crit rate before the update, my damage is now literally halved. But then again, so are most of the field mobs (except dun 290 lol)
I can’t even rely on my evasion now even with high dex, most of my cast times get interrupted, making those casted skills kind of futile.
i have just reset and found out that double slash & moulinet with attributes crits like 80% of the time, tbh i havent combo’ed yet without them dealing crit dmg. i only have 281 crit atm sw3-HL2-barb2-shinobi thinking of swapping out 1 circle of barb to go HL3 tomorrow for higher multiplier of moulinet
Really? It looks like 2x to me like skyliner (though they might be different types of modifiers again).
I’d say most classes/skills did get generally stronger, base damage wise.
The issue now lies at the new damage calculations that make the itemization in the game more severe, players cant wear their favorite good’ol orange 170 gear all the way to lvl 300s.
We really did reach RO’s shitty level of Re:newal in terms of damage calculation and itemization.
Hell yeah the gap between established and new players will definitely get way bigger in the future of tos.
Yeah, the conclusion is: Your average geared alts are going to have trouble soloing content, maybe you have double trouble/time inother to do it. As long as you gear, transcend, upgrade ,in other words, invest into a certain character you will notice the difference.

Try playing most other MMOs. Most will soulbind an item immediately - no way for alts to use it.
Most MMOs are not even multiplayer games anymore, all items get locked onto your character, quest chains replace partying and are more efficiently done alone, you get punished for partying outside your level range, boss monsters only drop items for the highest dps character, etc. Luckily ToS only has a few of these problems and is slowly improving now.
What’s the damage difference you’re seeing exactly? From briefly testing I’m seeing about 1000 bonus damage with and without a weapon equipped, which makes no sense if it’s a % modifier and not just a flat bonus. [quote=“Zefiris, post:38, topic:360006”]

Yeah, but most of them just continue to give you reasonable gear through quests and nearly guaranteed loot from dungeons/raids, and you only really have to grind out the absolute best in slot equipment which is definitely not 5x as strong as average equipment as is the case in ToS with transcendence and enhance and etc. I actually LIKE the obscene scaling you can get on gear in ToS, the problem is there’s really nothing in the game that requires that obscene gear scaling, even Earth Tower/Solmiki isn’t really about having obscene gear (obviously it helps a lot) so much as just the right strategy. So they can’t just balance regular content around the idea that everyone has obscene gear, average content needs to be balanced for average geared players. IMO they need to expand on the idea of hunting grounds and introduce much more difficult and dangerous areas for endgame parties who are already well geared.
