This was not directed at your person, but at the situation itself which believe or not i share as well, since these days people do not tend to socialize. Like… at all.
The laugh goes to the many ironies of the situation…
Playing a massive multiplayer game and since people no longer talk, you still feel like in an offline game with above average bots.
Trying to break the cycle of non socializing just to see others thinking that you are annoying.
Everyone handles everyone else as a rival, as someone who wants to take away from them
And ofc the irony in itself to try and find friends in an era where people are like this…
I know that there are exceptions, but… meh. Society as a whole has changed compared to 15-20 years ago. And imho to the worse.
To answer your question:
You cant. You really cant make new friends.
All you can do is to go around, be yourself and hope that by doing so you pique someone’s interest and you can hit a common dialogue. Happens rarely, but you dont really have any other options.
As an alternative, try to carter classes which are extremely health dependendt, basically anything that uses a sword.
Those guys have to appreciate a healer.
As a support healer (Cleric C2->Diev C1) that doesn’t offer anything other than heals… I feel your pain.
It really comes down hard when I see another swordsman swinging their swords @ 200+ damage per auto attack when I swing my +5 warhammer dealing 50 damage to a flying mob who has 2k+ hp. I even feel bad when I’m partied with other players as I do nothing except heal.
To OP, just preserve on. Sooner or later we will see the light of the tunnel and players will ask us to join their groups. If you are at around 50 level, go to tenant garden there and join in the dungeon groups. Groups will be happy to take us in.
