There will still be ranks after R8… You can be Fencer 3 at R8 then Matador at R9.

Yea, when I read the OP i was like huh o.O?! That would make alot of people not choose lower ranks, unless IMC do some SERIOUS buffing on the lower ranks (priest would probably still be popular though lol)

If you are aiming for Matador2 at Rank9 you can’t have FencerC3 at Rank8, since both MatadorC1 and Fencer3 are in the same rank, you have to give up on either FencerC3 or MatadorC2.
I think he meant that.

About Matador matching more with CorsairC3 than Fencer2>Matador2 or FencerC3>Matador1 we can’t be sure yet, some classes are pretty decent at C1. (though I agree not getting FencerC3 is a big loss).

Also, I am happy with this changes in rank system, Corsair was in big disadvantage in rank 8 cuz lack of synergies with Lancer/Murm.

1 - Lancer C1 (New)

2 - Murmillo C1 (New)

3 - Templar C2

4- Dragoon C2

1 - Lancer C2

2 - Murmillo C2

3 - Templar C3

4 - Dragoon C3

5 - Matador C2

Cleric at rank 8 gets

1 - Inquisitor C1 (New)

2 - Taoist C1 (New)

4 - Kabbalist C2

5 - Zealot C1 (New)

Rank 9

Rank 9 will be there but the new C1 classes will be in the rank 8 slot and for the C2 will be at rank 9.That is why they are allowing us to reroll our last ranks so we can decide to redo our rank 8 do get the new classes is we want.

Fencer C3 is at Rank 8, Matador C1 is at R8… Doesn’t change the fact you can be Fencer 3-Matador 1 at R9.

If the guy meant what @therhay said then yes, sure, he can’t be Fencer 3-Matador 2 yet, but he can eventually. Sorry, but your list doesn’t change anything for this particular matter. And we have understood how it works so…

Will rank 6 classes be dead after new class system?

My first char is a Falc3, before the news i thought to go Mergen as rank 9 but now i may change into a new class that has a better synergy since i can’t go Mergen3 New classes are like hidden classes: 1 circle only, therefore they may be really good or not. You are a Fencer3, so maybe Matador new class will make Fencer shine again, who knows?

it will be exactly the same as it is now, just every new class will be added into rank 8. so youll just have like 6 rank 8 classes for each base class.

No the picture means you can now switch between Swordman and Cleric tree. I hope they will do the same for Wizard and Archer .

I think people are mostly confused about the Character Rank and Class Rank distinction part.

I might be wrong but this is how I interpreted it:

The classes are structured just like they are now. There 2 new things here;

1. All new classes will be added to rank 8. As of right now, there will be no classes that require your character to be rank 9 or 10 to play.

2. You will have the option to reset your rank 8 class to select a different one. That’s it.

Wasnt it suposed to be that you can reset your most recent rank? Not just rank 8?

You will be able to reroll last rank. If you are rank4, you can reroll rank4 and pick another class if you don’t like the current one. I believe it does work for all ranks.
