Let me make it clear:
But I agree with you, you are allowed to use multiple accounts in any way you want. I think one can play, close Steam, play the other account if he needs to use more characters, close Steam, move to his main account again. There should be no harm on that and everyone can do this without buying any TP.
But you are not allowed to use multiple accounts to play by your own at the same time even by using multiple computers. Such as having them all logged in at the same time for any purpose.
I hope my opinion is clear now, if you need anything more I can add more technical details.
There’s no definition for 3rd-party programs in the rules. But all cheating/macro/etc software automatically falls into 3rd-party programs category along with non-cheating software. Thus they are clear on what type of software falls into bad usage.
Oh, are you annoyed at me because you are using multiple computers for AFK farming and don’t want your account banned like Mergen account was?
Lol that Multiple account argument XD. We know for sure that argument is bs, you can own multiple pc laptop at home and create different steam account for each play ToS on all of them if you can afford with your two hands. I’m not sure what’s wrong with that unless you can’t afford… then you are just envious of other people. “i can’t do that, don’t let others do that it’s unfair huhuhu”.

^multiple computer + different ToS account is not only for AFK farming. There’s a lot to do when you have two or more separate account running at the same time ex. camp warp/sage warp etc and more. (two at a time is more than enough tbh). Make a squire account for your idle old shtty laptop = ez warp 
(ideal for those who doesn’t want to buy TPs but have lots of time to play and a spare laptop/pc to use).

I can imagine someone playing with 2 computers, keyboards, mouses and with his feet too at the same time with another computer.

Luckily for ToS you don’t need to do all stuffs at the same time. Can’t imagine my self doing dailies w/ my feet, oh wait… keyboard mode. hue3x
Oh, I have 7 computers by the way, if I wanted I could setup all of them to AFK with TOS, even the old ones should handle it for AFK purposes.

- You can play with siblings or friends in the same house in different computers. - Allowed.
- You, by your own, cannot play multiple accounts at the same time by yourself, in any way. - Not allowed.

There was people in the past using multiple accounts for multiple cubes on bosses, for making bosses spawn, for base camps. All of them, played by a single person, falls into the same category which is not allowed.
Also, I’ll take your example: You are allowed to level one squire in a separate account, build one base camp, close game & steam, open the main account and play with it.
What you cannot do is: play with both online at the same time by yourself.
Agreed. We need official statement that covers all cases.
Ticket answers seems to be based on the question asked (X question gets Allowed answer, Y question gets Not allowed answer, X and Y means the same thing in different ways).

AFK isn’t against the rules. Using multiple accounts by yourself is:
They can:
- Login time patterns.
- Action/skill patterns.
- GM observation.
All depends on IMC enforcing the rules or not. But it is detectable with decent man power. For one specific player here and there, one GM for sure can tell the difference. For entire game population, they may not have means to enforce the rules effectively in all maps and channels.

Multi-account + AFK = not allowed (because multi-account).
